I wonder if it's a blizzard game.

I think the 1up guys (who have been right on everything this year so far) said that blizzard might bring a franchise to a console.

With Sony's "handsoff" approach, that might intrigue blizzard to go the PS3 route.

But this is of course all speculation.

Activision's influence on Blizzard may not be that great, but I can guarantee you that Viviendi wouldn't be too happy with Blizzard choosing one console over another. So I kinda doubt they'd bring a franchise to ONLY PS3 or ONLY 360. They'd hit both, more than likely.

Wrong, they are doing it for hits. Do you know how Playstation Lifestyle got reasonably popular? Their site was initially just a crappy wordpress blog; they made up some rumour about PS3 getting a huge new exclusive, then linked to it from N4G. And of course, writers for big gaming sites picked it up as well.

Not saying it's likely to happen or unlikely to happen but I've visited that site on many occasions and they really aren't ones to post BS rumours without any ounce of credibility. I wouldn't scoff it off at all, but like all rumours they should be taken with a grain of salt when they're first spread.

ZOE3 wouldn't be considered big, and it's already expected as exclusive considering the 1st and 2nd are only on the PS2. I wish you were right though, because that would mean we are getting a ZOE3

Blizzard's games are popular on a global scale and Blizzard will still want to use Battle.net on consoles to keep their fanbase together. As far as I can tell there is only one HD console that satisfies both of those needs.

Wrong regarding one console that supports both needs. As it's already been said, EA has their own servers connected to Xbox live where they can manage their own easports accounts through xbox live.

Microsoft knows far too well the value of third party developers. They would not drop the ball on Blizzard. They'd work with them for something special, a la EA's servers that others have mentioned.

I only brought it up because if I said "Well, Activision wouldn't do an exclusive on PS3/360 and not the other," people would bring up "BUT BLIZZARD DOES THEIR OWN THING!" So I put it in Blizzard terms, and Viviendi hasn't demonstrated any sort of preference for Sony or MS in the past. So I don't think they'd be in support of any such action.
