Yeah no. This huge exclusive probably doesn't even exist, it's a timed exclusive, or more likely, this site made this up for hits. And it's working for them, I'm sure.

This actually sounds probable. That or Natal is excusive to PS3 for 6 months.
 
This is probably fake from a site that is spreading rumors to get hits but I'd pissed at Sony if they did it. Instead of supporting their excellent first party teams the best they can they waste money on games that we would have anyway? Ridiculous. I wouldn't have a problem with some kind of deal that doesn't involve money but I doubt anything like that would happen this gen.

Buying exclusives is a stupid tactic especially for a publisher like Sony that has the best first party support I've seen in years. They better not have dissolved Psygnosis for this shit.

Exclusive DLC again though could be a possibility. Sony will probably be launching DC Universe Online later this year, and so the DC cross promotion could be a factor. Who knows.

I wish Sony made gears 3 timed exclusive for the meltdowns/ It would be a bigger gaf event thant the apocaylps3.

I suspect it's really Batman 2.
 
I would agree with what someone else stated in this thread. It is probably Ninja Gaiden 3, it is something that some industry 'insider' would hype as massive but in reality no one will really care.

Anyway I doubt there even is an exclusivity deal done.

Oh yeah.. I could only imagine. (The same could be said if PS3 got any of the XBox exclusives.) Talk about flame wars! The fanboyism would hit all time highs a riot would ensue with the mods possible banning 7-10 people instead of arrests. Could be one of the greatest GAF events ever. I just hope I'm around to whitness it in all it's glory!
 
Why does GTA and Final Fantasy always have to be used as the scapegoats in these "agaton" type of rumors? Most games that are immediately thought of are NOT "exclusive" in reality anymore. Hopefully, this announcement is for a game that has only been seen before on a Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft machine. A "true" exclusive series
 
A GTA V exclusive on PS3 would be great if they take complete advantage of the Blu-Ray. I would love it to have 3 massive cities with countrysides and the ability to use the airports. A GTA that would take me to Liberty City, Vice City and Los Venturas would be so totally awesome.

I rather liked the first game, so this has me mildly intrigued. The press seemed to largely ignore the Wiimote gestured kills in the second game, but I'm not so sure they'd give a PS3 version the same courtesy. After all, headlines akin to "Sony releases HD murder simulator" would surely be too good for them to ignore.

That's assuming this isn't some bullshit rumor. If so, no great loss.

But dont forget we are not talking a full on exclusive here, its a TIMED exclusive. So it will eventually come to the 360 whatever it is.

Apparently It's the new mikami game, from a rumour about the contents of the latest issue of famitsu. We will soon see, i suppose!
 
The contents? It's not the usual "It's only on the xxx section!" like Bayonetta, is it :lol ? I don't think it makes a lot of sense to release a shooter only on PS3 when Platinum Games hasn't been exactly super successful...

Vanquish was already announced for 360/PS3 in Famitsu itself.

It's not uncommon to list the game under just one header though as Peff pointed out.

EA did something like this before with Left 4 Dead 2. They just like fucking with us. :lol
 
its not the platinum game. From his new studio apparently. Not in the contents either, feature on it, it seems. There's a scan (well, photo) , but i'm not going to link to it, for obvious reasons.

Mikami has his own studio now, this wouldn't be a Platinum Games release.

He already announced Tango isn't going to have a game ready for three years though: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3178387

There's a high probability we won't even be on this generation of consoles anymore at that point.
 
Oh, interesting... Krieg? Sounds like a lot of information for something Mikami himself admitted we wouldn't be seeing in a long time. We'll see.

I got it. Sony bought the exclusive console rights to H2Overdrive to respond to Microsoft buying the Hydro Thunder IP rights.

A surprising scan from this week’s Famitsu seems to have leaked early. In it, Shinji Mikami’s new studio Tango announces their first game – a PlayStation 3 title named KRIEG with the same free-roaming aspect of Fallout, including that similar mix of role-playing game elements.

The game is set on a land devastated by nature. The protagonist is a boy subjected to strange military experiments, however, he cannot recall where he was tested on and is searching for clues to find out.

Originally, Mikami expected to make this title for Wii, but confessed he had to choose PlayStation 3.






The final part of the interview ends with the words of Mikami "This game will be my personal challenge, new information will arrive during the next E3.

And isn't Mikami working on VANQUISH? How come he's got another game up his sleeve already? Still, it's bound to be awesome.

This would be the third game. He's also working on a title with Grasshopper Manufacture/EA Partners.

That said, while this scan looks fairly legitimate, I'm confounded as to why they're announcing this now if they don't intend on releasing it for three years.
