It's so weird that these properties (Ninja Turtles in particular) are being given 'real world' Batman Begins esque reboots when the main protagonists are humanoid turtles that do martial arts.

I think Fox more than had its hands full with the 100's of characters at their disposal with the X-Mutants franchise.

X-men, x-force, x-factor, wolverine, Origins, the Brotherhood, deadpool, Weapon X and hopefully a Multiple Man movie. That alone is decades worth of movies they can exploit with sequels and even more spinoffs.

They don't need to waste time trying to squeeze F4 into their limited production schedule when they are already neglecting so much from the bigger more popular franchise that is already it's own movieverse.

I can't really see the Fantastic 4 translating to live action very well. Ben Grimm looked like ass in the last two movies and I can only imagine Mr Fantastic as looking stupid in live action.

The only way I could see it looking good on screen is if they get weta or something to do the cgi for Mr Fantastic, and make Ben Grimm a completely CG character.

I actually didn't mind the '05 movie. Can't say I liked it, but it was ok. Evans and Chiklis were perfect fits for Johnny and Ben.

Rise of the Silver Surfer was total garbage though and definitely at the bottom of the heap for the genre.

That too - with the Fantastic Four, there's several other characters locked down as well. Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Super-Skrull. All a no-go.

Just a side note, I like how Marvel vs Capcom has now made Super Skrull a thing. =)

I saw that film, and that movie's Doom was better than the other 2's, and I'd say it was overall better than the other 2, which is sad.

Just a side note, I like how Marvel vs Capcom has now made Super Skrull a thing. =)
