So, the best we can expect is a special edition of "MrPointyHead's Minute"?

Wasn't there suppose to be some sort of "Live Only Event" last year for Europe where they announced a few titles, but it turned out to be little more than...well...nothing? Or am I imagining things now?

Nah, I remember what you're talking about. After they cancelled X07, they said they'd have dedicated events in the UK and Europe where they'd make their announcements accordingly. Nothing happened.

The more I think about this, the more it seems false what with TGS around the corner. I know people will say "TGS is not used for cool/European/American game announcements", but this year's keynote from Microsoft is different considering John Schappert is keynoting this time around unlike the Xbox Japan boss who usually does it.

Hmmm.... No doubt this brand new format will end up just being a full page advert in selected European tabloids. "MS is proud to announce new titles from Bungie and Rare coming soon to XBox 360. European Xbox owners should keep an eye on the internet sites for more news. Japanese 360 owners, see you at TGS!"

The G4 new dashboard rumor, that's what I first thought of as well. The 25th (next Friday) was the rumored date of the event. Isn't there Halo content to be release next week too? I'm starting to smell a lot of smoke here.

EDIT: My brain took a dump. The 25th is actually next Thursday.

except skip the announcements at E3 and move them to PAX. E3 doesn't make sense anymore. go right before the gaming public and make your announcements and show them off to the people there.

Even so, prices of the North American and Japanese Core, Arcade and Elite Xbox 360 consoles have already been slashed, so Europe is hotly tipped to receive a similar slash in the near future. It might not happen next week, but we'd bet our seats it'll happen shortly down the line.

Look at it now. PDZ imo has awesome potential, it can be MS's own James Bond kind of franchise.

Perfect Dark is a still a great game, just hamstrung by frame rate problems. The bots STILL kick the shit out of any game's bots. Same with the weapons and their numerous modes. If Perfect Dark 2 was more like the 64 game or even just a remake, everyone would be glad.

Oh god, a new JFG announcement would make me pass out. I can only hope and pray that if so, JFG 2 has a soundtrack just as unbelievably amazing as the first.
 
I hope the Rare game is a new Conker...

...but that's just wishful thinking; it won't be Conker. It'll either be a sequel to Kameo, Perfect Dark 2, or a new IP.

And the Bungie game, knowing that the Peter Jackson game is a separate project all together, will hopefully be a non-Halo title...

...But even that could be wishful thinking.

The Forza stuff from that focus test leak was the Forza 2 2-disc set that you can go to a store and buy right now. The only info in the leak was "Forza" and "2 discs." Wouldn't you know that exactly that product hit shelves a while back? Nowhere did it say it was Forza 3. That was all a construct of message board assumption.



I don't doubt the inevitability of Forza 3, but that leak had nothing to do with it.
