how long have they been developing? if all they plan to make is PSN games, then they are taking way too long... especially if they're still in early development?

They are not making PSN titles.

If they're showing it at GC 08 the press haven't been told. This is what Sony has said we will see behind closed doors:

Thursday- Ratchet&Clank: Quest for Booty
- MotorStorm Pacific Rift
- DC Universe Online (game announced at E3) – Sony Online
- Infamous
- Heavy Rain: the presentation will be the same as in E3, but there won’t be any embargo.
- Killzone 2: there will be exclusive multiplayer hands on in that meeting room (in the booth, there will be single playable code)

Friday:
- LittleBigPlanet
- Resistance 2: there will be exclusive hands on
- Free realms and The Agency (Sony Online games)
- Heavy Rain: the presentation will be the same as in E3, but there won’t be any embargo.
- Killzone 2: there will be exclusive multiplayer hands on in that meeting room (in the booth, there will be single playable code)


And normally they add "Unannounced game" on their if they were showing it when we are preparing what games and when to see them.

These games draw attention to the system.

I'm not sure how well TM does that these days. It gets a fair amount of attention from enthusiasts like ourselves, but not that much from the wider gaming crowd.

Hey does anyone remember when that one celebrity sent out "censored" photos of herself nude? But it turns out Photoshop stores alterations (like blurs/pixelations) in the image files so eventually the pictures were reverse-engineered and we all saw her boobies?

The screenshot Jaffe put up has a little red mark on the taskbar blocking a file name, could we potentially do that same trick to find out what he's trying to cover up?

The announcement could still happen at the press conference, but from the looks of the list of appointments from Sony, the above list os all the press will see and play behind closed doors.

But the announcement could still happen and be only in trailer form.
