That kind of generalisation does the Yakuza community no favours.To be fair, most westerners would rather play a linear shooty bang with pretty set pieces, then beat the living shit out of idiots as a brash badass entrepreneur in late 80s Japan.
Instead we should implore them to open their eyes to the fact yakuza is violent, with super cool action scenes, both you play and ones that are amazingly rendered, and there is always something to do of mind boggling variety and depth (a rare combination).
My only worry is, subtitles turn people off. And that's one problem SEGA realistically can't get around (if they don't want to invest in subtitles, they are not going to invest in English VO). I much prefer the Japanese actors anyway. They bring so much to the performance.
Anyway sorry, I know this thread is about demo impressions.I'll be curious to see a reaction from a non-Yakuza fan checking out the demo. As fans will most likely love it (me as I said in last page, am not going to tempt myself since there is a good chance I'll never get to play the full game).
