Absurd that this money went to anyone other than the guy in the OT imo. The video is a classic example of fair use. The use of edited press footage that zooms in on Afflec and the addition of the music constitute an obvious independent work that is elevating the source material. It is minimalist, but brilliant. We need copyright reform in the US and the EU ASAP, that should emphasize the right to fairly use existing media, including the right to monetize these uses.

Well without the song, the video is nowhere near as good considering it's taking the idea from Arrested Development. I'd say Simon & Garfunkel deserve the money.

I don't think Betty has any problem at all not making any money off the video. The problem is it was taken down even though the "right" people are already making money off it.
