Toy Story 3 and Up ALMOST got me, but I held back.

Planetes got me a couple times, its been so long I can't remember the specific episodes. That and the end of season 1 of The Walking Dead video game (I know, not a show or movie)

Edit: the best I can do, but the plot with Yuri and his wife (Planetes)

I'd like to think that a lot of these emotional moments where characters die or leave are even more powerful because the actor is really saying goodbye to the role.

Mere days after my great grandma had died. I was a mess for hours after this.

Also a good pick, but would have worked better if they had actually been in a relationship for more than a quarter of an episode.

My second pick for Buffy that still always gets me:

The overdub of her last words to Dawn as she dies and they find her body... feels.

"Dawn, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. But this is the work that I have to do. Tell Giles... tell Giles I figured it out. And, and I'm okay. And give my love to my friends. You have to take care of them now. You have to take care of each other. You have to be strong. Dawn, the hardest thing in this world... is to live in it. Be brave. Live. For me."

I dont like the toy story franchise. I like the first one and then think the rest are sell out movies.

I slapped my friend for showing me this. She said it was a good movie, and it was but i wasnt ready for the ending, considering pretty much the whole movie was a comedy

No meaningful picture to show, but the voice over in the finale of the Wonder Years was one of the saddest TV moments for me.

Another solid Simpsons one. I think any nerdy kid can relate to this episode in many ways.

Is this from the Dustin Hoffman episode? I re-watched that one a couple months back and teared up, for sure. Early Simpsons was full of good heartfelt moments.

Basically the whole series (Here and there now and then) is one big sad moment. To me its up there with grave of the fireflies. Thing features 13 a year old hero, slavery, rape and torture among other things spiced with a couple happy moments just so it can crush you again.

I just watched Angel s1-4 for the first time recently and this episode completely caught me off guard. Well, it was mostly hokey, but the ending was pure excellence.

Since we're on the topic of Angel, my favorite sad scene from the series:
