I think the watch looks pretty slick. Obviously the battery life is the main concern but it's also probably not something you're going to be wearing or using constantly so unless it dies in a couple hours, it's not a huge deal. The black one looks way better though.

jacket guy! stop yelling at me, you have a microphone.

does that watch need it's own contract or pre-paid sim to make calls?

Gear-VR is "powered by Oculus" so that's cool. Will this be the first Oculus-developed consumer version product? Although in this case you actually put the Galaxy 4 into the headset, it isn't stand-alone.

Google Cardboard competitor?

The watch has a mobile connection? Could you make the battery drain any faster? :P

Why would I want more functions when smartwatches already have horrible battery life and are way too big?
I think it's cool having those features without your phone being on your person. But yeah, I wonder what the battery life is with mobile connectivity?

Note 4 vs Note 3

Carmack speech was great, and soooo not fitting for this kind of event. I love it. :D

It seems that they have very good access to Samsung hardware.

I just feel that the basics should be perfected before they step it up. It feels like some of the old smartphones that could use like a minute to load your email or SMS folder if it was big.

Yeah. Great to hear all the focus on low latency and that it wasn't just some holder. Cool to hear about locked clock rates which could be a game changer for games.

You can find out where you parked..............GPS...

man, some bad advertising there... watch is so huge and looks way out of place on that ladies hand. I dont think it would look bad on mine, but you cant pick someone petite to advertise this product.

Once i found it was running Tizen, I lost all the interest in the watch.

Note 4 looks good though.

Not bad. I'm a very happy Note 2 user, but Carmack's selling the new one / VR quite well. Samsung are really trying everything (but maybe too much).

Some day, some day I'll try out a Note. Love the idea, I just don't know how I'd use such a big phone with a stylus.

Was set on getting an iPhone 6 this year (would be my first personal iPhone)... but I think the Note Edge might just give it a run for its money. Also waiting to see what Moto has ready to unveil tomorrow.

Think I'll get this phone in October to replace my aging Galaxy Nexus. Looks great, just wish it had waterproof, since that was a nice plus with the S5.

I posted this on the gaming side, but I've been working closely with Oculus and Samsung in the past few months to develop a launch title (game) for the Gear VR, called "Lunasee". It is rad.

That is all.

I do love the direction they've gone with the Note series but with my time with the Note II was pretty lackluster. The stylus is a great feature but the S-Pen is limited to their bloatware apps and I can't stand hideous Touchwiz. Hoping one day that they release a GPE Note with S-Pen features or at least have a decent rom that gets rid of everything Samsung and keeps the S-Pen functionality around for other apps.

Is everyone forgetting these things run touchwiz

I like Touchwiz. It's pretty, and it has useful features like mutliwindow, download booster, voice control to silence alarms/answer phone calls, and hover your finger to preview emails (godsend) and images.

Touchwiz rocks, screw the hate circle jerk.
