Brings up an interesting question tho....does this design make cases basically useless?

I use wallet tyupe pouches and they make even more sense now

id be surprised if the curved one was waterproof.

btw .. everyone keeps saying this will be like the note4 edge, i don't think thats what they are going for at all ..doubt we will see the whole seperate screen down the side bizzo .. its a lot more subtle on the S6 .. almost purly cosmetic .. maybe some notfication patterns to appear down the side if anything imo ..

check out the s6 vs the N4E ...

Just broke my damn Note 2 after all this time. Cracked the screen today.

Is this phones's screen size going to be smaller, larger, or the same size as the Note 2's screen?
It'll definitely be smaller than the 5.5" screen on the Galaxy Note 2. The screen size will probably end up being 5.2" as an upgrade from the 5.1" screen of the Galaxy S5.

I don't care about curve.
So, as long as one version of it is...

Yeah, I have an S5 Active, but would have a hard time giving it up for a non-waterproof phone now.

They pretty have to make all their phones dust/water proof going forward right? It would seem like a step back if they weren't.

I wonder if they'll talk GearVR for the GS6 on Sunday. I held out on picking up a Note 4 because I was reading rumors that they would be releasing a version of GearVR for the S6. I guess we'll see.

Surprised not much talk how there is no slot for a microsd in any of the leaked images/renders. Looks like that feature is gone.

I was actually intrigued by this, but with a non-removable battery and no SD card slot....any interest I had in it is gone.

Same. I'll stay with my Note 3 until the Note 5, hopefully it'll have a removable battery and microSD.

I can't believe they went with the Apple route. What the fuck?

The fuck, no micro SD card slot? Not gonna pay out the ass for more storage.

Now i gotta look for something else. Unless the difference between the 32, 64 and 128GB models is 20€. But i´ll bet it will be 100€ between them.

Fucking Samsung.

Isn't the microSD slot a major selling point of some Android phones? Why alienate your consumer base by removing it? Doesn't seem smart.

HTC is a good choice if you don't mind them using the same front design as the One M8 for the One M9. As for Motorola I don't know.
I've never had an HTC so that doesn't exactly bother me. Aren't their batteries supposed to be crap though?

Battery Life and Camera quality are probably the two weakest elements on HTC's phones. That being said their batteries are still better than what Motorola has used with the Moto X series and it sounds like they're going to be fixing the camera issues with the M9.

Hmm how are they compared to the Galaxy phones? Also is it the power button sitting next to the other on screen buttons in that m9 promo video?

What's the reasoning behind having a high resolution display on a small screen?

Doesn't it drain the battery more?

Now these smartphones are coming out with resolutions higher than the average computer's.

Isn't that the point of the larger capacity batteries? My S5 easily lasts twice as long as my S3 did.
