I agree, it's demanufacture.

I have this theory that bands' third album is their critically acclaimed album.
Alice in chains -dirt
Deftones - white pony
Korn - follow the leader
Fear factory - obsolete
Pantera - vulgar display of power... And the list goes on and on.
For some bands, it's tricky, like Tool. Opiate isn't considered a full length album, so my theory would make Lateralus the third album, same for Fear Factory if you want to include Concrete.

I only know a few Leonard Cohen, so I'm going to pass... And suggest:

Faith No More

but vulgar display of power was pantera's 6th
you can't just ignore their hair metal albums
I'm not ignoring the power metal, but if you ask someone, they will say CFH was there first album. Like Soul is FF first album because concrete never got released. Or SLim Shady was Eminems first. The theory is based on contemporary thinking.

Well, you're not making it any easier lol. I'll go with

The Execution of All Things,
because it reviewed the highest.

Bad Religion
Not fair. I checked metacritic and they don't have Rilo Kiley's first album which is technically my favorite.

Bad Religion - No Control Also takes me back to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

My pick:

The Cure

Alright man. I'm going to take this one on but I must say I'm fairly ignorant of this band. So I'm likely going with the mainstream choice for all I know.

Rheostatics - Introducing Happiness

My pick:

Rilo Kiley
Whale Music is my favourite, but Introducing Happiness is a solid choice.

This theory is bunk.

Ex. Weezer, Pearl Jam, Rolling Stones
