Scary movie scenes when you were young

I got scared by this scene in The Great Mouse Detective when I was like 4 or 5. Seems laughable now, but I remember having nightmares about Ratigan.

Not a movie, but MJ's Thriller video scared the living shit out of me. I think I saw it for the first time in the early 90's, I snuck into the living room to watch it after being told not to.

I was caught when I started bawling at the back of the room, must have been about 5 or 6, haha.

As for a movie, I think the first thing to really freak me out was the tv adaption of The Stand by Stephen King. For months I would wake up in the middle of the night thinking everyone was dead, I even used to sneak outside to make sure I could hear cars or any other kind of human activity, lololol.

I remember watching this movie when I was younger, and this girl was at her bathroom sink and a balloon or something came up the drain and when it popped blood got everywhere... Was it It? I dunno.

I had SO many raptor nightmares after watching Jurassic Park when I was younger. Didn't stop me from loving it and rewatching it whenever I got the chance to

Man I suck with scary movies, just to give you an idea of how bad I am here's probably the worst one: A few years ago I watched Shaun of the Dead, that scene where the guy gets pulled through the window of the bar where everybody is holed up in and then proceeds to have like his stomach ripped open and devoured or something freaked me the fuck out. Now The movie came out in 04 but I saw that shit on tv so add like 3 more years to that, I must have been 15 when I saw it. My room was right in front of the house with three huge windows, and I saw the movie at night too. I got scared by that part thinking it'd happen to me, so I kept staring at the windows of my room looking for zombies most of the night until I got too tired and fell asleep.

I'm told that the first movie I ever watched was The Secret of Nimh, and that I completely freaked out when I saw the owl.

Also, did anyone ever watch The Woman in Black? I remember watching this movie with my mom on TV as a kid, and when she went to the kitchen to grab a drink, THIS scene came on. I actually froze and I'm pretty sure that I screamed. It's been somewhere in the realm of 20 years since I saw the movie, and thinking about this scene still creeps me out.

My first girlfriend ever (we were 5!) had this on a record and just LISTENING to it terrified both of us.

Also there was a Fraggle Rock episode where this creature was stalking them.

Superman 3. You know the scene.

This. I was four years old and my mom let me stay up to watch it on a shitty old black and white tv with bad reception. It was like a NIN video that scene.

Everything in this thread with clowns scared the crap out of me as a kid. Especially that poltergeist scene. Fuck clowns. Seriously.

Also, the scene in the Shining when the woman's body starts decaying as he's making out with her. I had nightmares about that.

I know most of you are naming scary movies, but my sisters and I just had a collection of old video tapes that we watched. Most were not from when we were a kid, but much earlier.

Does anyone remember the Daffy Duck movie with the magic wishing well? That well creeped me out like you wouldn't believe.

That scared the ever-living FUCK out of me when I was a kid.[/QUOTE]
The whole movie terrified me as a kid. :0

Well a bunch of stuff in T2 certainly gave me nightmares, but in all fairness that movie's R for good reason.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it had one of the Lawrence brothers in it and I think it had a couple cheap sequels. It was about a family moving into a house where all the appliances were trying to kill them.

There's one scene where a woman takes a shower, but the water heater acts up and she ends up being burned alive. Now, I was about 10 or 11 and my family was trying to get me to move on from taking baths to taking showers, and this movie terrified the idea of me in the shower for a good year or two. I think even when I started to, I was as quick and discrete as possible.

There's also another scene where someone has to reach into the sink and fix something (like a clog, I can't remember) and the garbage disposer turns itself on and chops up their hand. This scene STILL makes me nervous when reaching in sinks with garbage disposers. Thankfully my current sink doesn't have one.

Someone help me out here. There's an old 80's horror flick I remember seeing that had these things that looked like large black leeches that would crawl into peoples mouths. I can't remember if it would kill the person or "turn" them but man that shit freaked me out so bad that I couldn't finish watching the movie.

Anyone know the name of the film?
