Fair enough. But a) there will be arms smuggling as much as there is drug smuggling and b) all the people that already have guns, well, a lot of them aren't just going to hand over their guns if they become banned. There's a lot more that will have to go down than a simple "ban" of guns across the U.S.

1.) He had 2 handguns for sure (1 glock, one sig sauer). both 9mm's

2.) He may have had a rifle, unconfirmed.

3.) He may have had a vest on, but he apparently had some sort of vest or jacket on with pockets (presumably to carry more ammo)

4.) He stopped by the principal's office first and shot the Principal.

5.) The focus of his shooting was at his mother and her Kindergarten (4-6 year olds) class.

6.) He murdered his father at home before travelling to the school.

7.) 18 children were murdered, along with 9 adults. Unknown how many more were shot/injured.

8.) Flags are now being flown at half staff on all government buildings.

9.) the FB pictures being bandied about are most likely NOT the actual shooter. Wait for the police to release a photo, please.

10.) It is presumed the gunman took his own life, as there are no indications or suggestions of a shootout.

11.) The gunman's name has been released as Ryan Lanza.

12.) Lanza's girlfriend and friend are missing, last seen in New Jersey.

13.) Lanza's brother is being held in custody pending questioning and is not dead.
