So I'm guessing the Topic had a mod change? Anyway, I saw someone said they would make a troll thread in the TGS Stream thread but I didn't think he was serious.
Feels good to know both english and chinese
Chinese tends to be overtly more literal, which really spoils the nuances of language when it comes to localisation.
Rejoice my Chinese brethren!!!

The translation into chinese was better than the english version we got for FFX though.
this isn't even aimed for china, only cantonese and taiwanese still use traditional chinese
SEA people also can read both lolMainlanders can read traditional too, it's not hard to read either, it's not like you are dealing with Classical Chinese because hahahahaha, now that's something else.
A game like this will sell more in China than NA/Europe?.
are you sure about most mainlanders able to read traditional chinese? i would think not, especially the younger generation

Reading it is not hard, it's the writing part that it. I can read them just fine but can't write more than a few traditional Chinese and I don't even like in China but a country that uses its own version of simplified Chinese and have my education taught in English.are you sure about most mainlanders able to read traditional chinese? i would think not, especially the younger generation
Never even played a Yakuza game but I think this probably speaks for the fans of the series that just saw this thread:

The announcement is at a Asia conference, who are they try trolling?Good trolling Sega. Not yet at the level of SE with announcing FF Type-0 for Vita and then cancelling it within an hour, but a nice one nonetheless.
It's most likely cheaper to translate than in English.
Also, the Asian SKU would be much cheaper to produce compared to the US and PAL sku.
I'd imagine the PAL SKU would be so costly, that it wouldn't be worth doing really.
This combined with Kiseki series chinese localization means that it's probably cheaper to localize text heavy games into chinese than english.
Sega could you please Fuck Off?
Because even if you can't please go fuck yourselves.
Is this a sign of the non-shitty mobile/browser and/or ripoff games market becoming more of a thing in China?
I kinda hope it is. If games become bigger and more legit in China, we might see some for reals legit games out of China, and more diversity in the international scene might mean less goddamn shooters everywhere jeez
Come on OP, don't be an asshole. Yakuza fans have suffered enough.
