Sony really won me over lol (with this plus Loh series)

Time to buy ps4 next year.

Asia gamers get the most out of these lol Korea, tawain, Singapore, Hong Kong etc get the best of all worlds. Our games also sometimes comes with multiple language and voice options to choose between like Chinese, Japanese and English too

this isn't even aimed for china, only cantonese and taiwanese still use traditional chinese

Mainlanders can read traditional too, it's not hard to read either, it's not like you are dealing with Classical Chinese because hahahahaha, now that's something else.

SEA people also can read both lol

A game like this will sell more in China than NA/Europe?.

They are aiming at the whole Asia Chinese reading market. From China to Malayasia/Singapore. The market added together is huge.

are you sure about most mainlanders able to read traditional chinese? i would think not, especially the younger generation

This is probably targeted towards Taiwan and HK regions than mainland china.

Edit: oh woops I didn't read the posts you were responding to, nvm.

It's most likely cheaper to translate than in English.

Also, the Asian SKU would be much cheaper to produce compared to the US and PAL sku.

I'd imagine the PAL SKU would be so costly, that it wouldn't be worth doing really.

Reading it is not hard, it's the writing part that it. I can read them just fine but can't write more than a few traditional Chinese and I don't even like in China but a country that uses its own version of simplified Chinese and have my education taught in English.

I am sure mainlanders can do better than me.

Good trolling Sega. Not yet at the level of SE with announcing FF Type-0 for Vita and then cancelling it within an hour, but a nice one nonetheless.

I guess this happen because SCEJA have a Chinese localization studio did most third party Chinese translation work and they sold quite well in those region.

I was expecting this to come earlier this year :P A late announcement is better than non. I think I will finally get a PS4 early next year:)

This combined with Kiseki series chinese localization means that it's probably cheaper to localize text heavy games into chinese than english.

Also easier to market

No need to worry about getting shamed by western high standard journalism

Is this a sign of the non-shitty mobile/browser and/or ripoff games market becoming more of a thing in China?

I kinda hope it is. If games become bigger and more legit in China, we might see some for reals legit games out of China, and more diversity in the international scene might mean less goddamn shooters everywhere jeez

Sega could you please Fuck Off?

Because even if you can't please go fuck yourselves.

Guys, knock it off with these posts. It adds nothing to the discussion. If you're not interested in the topic no one is forcing you to post in it. Publishers releasing games in territories that aren't yours isn't a free pass to act like a baby.

This isn't for China. Traditional Chinese = Taiwan and Hong Kong markets generally. These are established gaming markets, so nothing is changing. Mainland China uses Simplified Chinese.
