Sega Plans Six for 3DS in 2011, Super Monkey Ball 3D info inside

a virtua tennis game seems like an obvious one.
Yep.

After seeing what Capcom is doing with SSFIV, VF5 seems like a good fit as well.

TBH I think this is the best platform for a new Monkey Ball. The more complex motion control options on the Wii have made the recent Monkey Ball titles into complete shit, SEGA trying to shoehorn in as much needless rubbish as possible. The simple gyroscope of the 3DS will hopefully force them into more elegant design.

Sonic will be a port of the iphone4 version of Sonic 4 with bitter tears in 3D as you twist and turn your 3DS to navigate your minecart.

It would be a lovely surprise if one of those six were a Platinum Studios game.

Sega will not be redeemed until they return Monkey Target to it's former greatness.

Seriously Sega, sort it out and stop punching yourself in the face.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 3DS has all the motion control whirly-gigs that a wiimote w/ motion plus has.

You might be wrong. It just has an accelerometer and gyroscope.

It mentions analogue control, so hopefully they will get back to the pure perfect controls of the original.

But I expect something to be fucked up, along with Monkey Target absent.

But not all what the Wiimote and M+ can do, which is what he asked.

but he asked about motion controls and "whirly-gigs". a rather broad term, I doubt IR camera would be included (this wouldn't need to be included thanks to wireless transfers)

I know. It was perfected in Monkey Ball 2, I'd say. So simple, yet so awesome and addictive. Loved playing it in multi. Then Banana Blitz came and Monkey Target went to shit.

This is stretching out the criteria, but OK.

This, in 3D. Not a sequel, a remake. Make it happen Sega.

I want a new Sega's Greatest Hits in 3D. An arcade comp (with Space Harrier, Outrun, Afterburner, and a few others) would be heaven in handheld form.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I can see so many ways in which Valkyria 3DS makes so much sense. You've got your touchscreen for the tactical side of things and the 3D view for the action/movement bits.
