I'm willing to forgive the Great Gazoo.

Who said this would be for the 6-10 crowd? The original Flintstones was a primetime show made to appeal to everyone.UnholySpectacle said:I can't see how this would interest today's kids. I mean, if you are young enough you will watch anything but the world of the Flinstones would need to be altered somehow to really appeal to the 6-10 crowd. Either that or outstanding writing. I predict a lot of Water Buffalo Lodge and Great Gazoo episodes.
Ohh GOD, it all makes sense now!elrechazao said:yeah, his shit is so original

Maybe, but you think Fox has any interest in a show like that? Every cartoon they try nowadays is on the adult and raunchy side.levious said:Yeah, I remember liking that Larry and Steve Cartoon Cartoon short he did, and it wasn't raunchy at all. Not like he can't do it.
Man, this is gonna be worse than that Flintstones-Jetsons-crossover.
I put this together as soon as he made AD. Same exact show, different circumstances.elrechazao said:yeah, his shit is so original

Isn't Seth MacFarlane part of a bigger group of writers who do this though? I mean... put According to Jim, King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond next to each other... the jokes are so interchangeable, it's scary. And don't get me started on Friends, I swear they re-used their own jokes.Foxy Fox 39 said:I put this together as soon as he made AD. Same exact show, different circumstances.
He puts his name on these shows, develops them, does the voices, and everything. It's not the same as "generic bad sitcom #5999". I would be like the creators of CSI doing 5 of those shows....oh wait.neorej said:Isn't Seth MacFarlane part of a bigger group of writers who do this though? Boomerang!I watched it there when it was still affiliated with Cartoon Network.R2D4 said:30 years ago? That was about the last time I saw The Flintstones on TV. Maybe some cartoon channel that specializes in classic stuff?
While the underlaying foundation of the shows are the built on the same principles of characters the shows are very different.Rapstah said:Why? Judging by the four identical copies of Family Guy he has made I was under the impression that those kinds of shows were all he could make.
What makes Seth an asshole?Ezalc said:I thought I couldn't hate FOX anymore than I did already. But now they go and give that asshole another show, and now he gets to simultaneously ruin childhoods and more people's sense of humor. Awesome.
I'm not sure if you have been watching Cleveland Show lately but its pretty awesome.Kylehimself said:Love American Dad! Family Guy is okay if there's nothing else on. Cleveland can suck my ass. I wish this guy would stop making shows.
Can't say that I'm an expert, but FG and AD are really different.Foxy Fox 39 said:I put this together as soon as he made AD. Same exact show, different circumstances.

Cartoon Network used to fill their airtime with old Hannah-Barbera shows during the early 90's back before they had a large stable of their own original content of which a large portion was the Flinstones.Kurtofan said:Boomerang!I watched it there when it was still affiliated with Cartoon Network.
That must be it then, I remember watching Scoobidoo and the Jetsons too.Ezduo said:Cartoon Network used to fill their airtime with old Hannah-Barbera shows during the early 90's back before they had a large stable of their own original content of which a large portion was the Flinstones.
