Several Tales games revealed in Jump

Awesome! Today is a good day.

I'll probably end up double dipping on Graces F, and the new PS3 title's an almost definite buy. Can't wait for more info.
 
I read the first few posts in this thread and got a lot of "oh it won't be localized".

Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to translate english subtitles and the menus? Why don't they just sell these games on PSN for $40?

It's too bad that I can't patch the PS3 version of the game the same way that I will be able to patch the Wii version when it's done, either way I will import the Wii version. The translators for ToG are hauling on that translation. How accurate is this groups translations? They did the one on the DS right?

The only translations that I know they did is Fatal Frame 4.
 
If Scamco brings over the PS3 Graces after passing over the Wii one after their complaining about the Wii market being cluttered with bad games, I will buy a Japanese Wii and Graces just to spite them.

Thankfully they probably won't bring this version over either so I'll just import.
 
As much as it hurts my chances to play the games (as I don't even have a PS3 yet), this is the smartest Tales-related decision Namco has made in awhile.

Hopefully they'll put in as much additional content with Graces F that they did with Vesperia PS3.

Well....I guess this makes it technically possible for them to localize a RM 2+3 combo pack! While they are at it....they could include all the prior Narikiri games as bonus content....yesh that's the ticket...

Maybe all of these things will be fantranslated by 2020. Until then, I can dream I suppose.

I still say if they are determined to implode the franchise the LEAST they can do is take a crack at a Tales of Multiverse Roguelike! :lol

I've far more qualms w/ Scamco's US branch than the Japanese one. I'd rather buy the Japanese Wii version than a US PS3 version because as a starved Wii RPG wanted, I want more Wii RPGs in English!
 
Awesome. More games that I'll only be able to play in 4+ years if fan translators even bother with them to begin with.

Probably longer since the PS3 isn't hacked at all.

So when do we get the angry Wii gamers burning their discs because of the enhanced port?

At least it's Region Free and ToG's fairly import friendly, not too difficult getting through the majority of it without a guide.

That'll likely come soon enough. But yeah, by TGS, PS3 could stand to truly get some sweet vindication. Even Capcom's FaceBook page proudly states that we'll get "more announcements" by TGS.

Super Robot Wars, Macross and 2 Tales games. PS3 really kicks some ass in Japan right now.

I wonder how the small 360 camp feels like after TGS? :lol
 
Wow, Tales is back in action.

Im interested to seeing how many hours of anime-ish cutscenes they can pack in here. Well I also cant wait to see the montages of all of the special attacks once people get their hands on it later this year.

As long as the 360 keeps on getting the shumup and otaku centric games exclusively on the system, they should be fine.

Well, Cave seems to be moving to iPhone and how much will a new Idolmaster and Dream C Club will sell?

I'm guessing that there won't be a +50k game other than Halo Reach this year in Japan.

Enough to help the 360 sell more than 4K units per week at least, but yeah, I guess the 360 is basically heading the direction of the niche console like the Saturn, Dreamcast and PC engine in terms of Japanese titles.

Correct me if I'm wrong sales-gaf, but if the 360 would be heading to the same direction as PC Engine, it would outsell the PS3! :lol

john tv, who's company worked on the original localization, pretty much said it's not coming.

lol, I have no idea. Which sold more in Japan? Mega Drive or PC engine?


Otherwise, then Mega Drive then :P That was in 3rd place right?

Anyhow, all systems had 2 things in common. Which were lots of ADVs and Shumups.

Yes I like the way you think! I want PS3 Vesperia localized, but...I also could care more for new developments on actual new titles. Eternal Sonata was localized afterall...

MS didn't really push for anything in Japan last year either. This isn't surprising.
