Man, I wish they had limited customization to mix and match the hairstyle and the costume. Like long hair chunli with classic blue costume. Or bearded ryu with shirt on etc. That'd be amazing.

I can't see any mention of a March release date in the OP. Besides, Capcom like to release their non-update versions in February (MvC3, SF4 and SFxT all released in February of that respective years) so I won't be surprised if this is a February release.
2 different kinds of games. Both will have their audience. March PS4 sales should be big.

I sure hope so. I wasn't a fan of most of the alts in SF4, but it was cool that they kept them up consistently. this first batch is already showing a lot of promise in terms of delivering some new looks and sweet new hairdos, so the future looks bright.
I'll be honest as a mustache and beard aficionado I'm biased. It's what saves Ryu. But Cammy? Just open up her regular leotard, stick some goggles on her head, and let her hair down? Meh. The long hair is different but I don't really care for long hair.
edit: someone mentioned it but some shorts would definitely bump it up.
Don't want to put in the effort of keeping track of stakes for this one, but I am 90% confident she returns in her high school outfit as her default costume, whenever she does.

Yeah bad call. Not sure what that really does for anyone. How does that even benefit Capcom or any retailer? I can't imagine they bid over who gets which DLC. What about the retailer stick with the less poplar content?
I'm sure there is a solid explanation or there, but I haven't yet heard it.

No offense but he does look a bit like a gruffled Chris Evans with that alt. His tan is quite less noticeable as well. It's like he went back in time between IV and V, and then got the tan back for III.
It'd be much more convincing if he were a bit more tanned.
Not only that but he looks a bit fairer as well. Before anyone tries to jump down my throat about that, just keep in mind the slight tan Ryu had in IV and the somewhat darker tan he had in the III games. That was believable; he does his training outdoors and travels the Japanese countrysides, out in the Sun for hours a day, many days a week. He's going to have a tan.
It's just a bit perplexing how the tan's pretty much gone for V, yet it was present in IV. It's not as simple as an artstyle shift either. Kind of reminds me of what Sega did with Vanessa going from VF4 to VF5.
Got no idea what you mean about Chun's thighs though; they are perfect! She trains her legs like crazy, her thighs are going to be well toned. And they're much better toned here than they were in IV. An Interpol outfit would be awesome though.

The costume will probably have several color palettes to choose from.
I don't see how suddenly he looks too much like Chris Evans or a non-asian guy or whatever. It's the same face model as the default costume with a beard on it. If he looks like a white guy, he looked like a white guy before. The bushy beard is certainly atypical for an Asian man, but this Asian man wanders the earth punching waterfalls so perhaps you can suspend your disbelief a tad.

Well yeah but that's the issue especially when we're dealing with an anime artstyle because it gets into a slippery slope area. He never looked like a person IRL, absolutely, but I wouldn't say he never looked Asian before either. Either way it can be seen as a stereotype I guess and fxx it this isn't a politics thread.
I definitely want to see what the other character alts look like, now. Nash is already kind of an alt, Birdie could get all '80s glam metal'd up and Miku could even get a Skullomania alt. It'd be glorious.

It would be cool if alt costumes show up in cutscenes for story mode since it's supposed to be a bit more extensive (well at least they're giving the impression it is) than just a regular arcade mode.
