SFxT Site Updated See Jin, M. Bison, Ogre & Akuma

The reason it's "held back" is because it is planned as DLC. They don't just complete everything, then decide what to hold back. That's terrible project planning.

If they complete something before the game goes gold and put it on the disc it should be part of the package you pay for when you buy the game, that is the bottom line. I have no problem with them planning ahead and starting that process before the game is done, I agree that is a necessity for DLC. However, if they finish that content before the game even ships they should not hold it back until later. I would also argue that some DLC definitely is decided at a later date to all of a sudden become something that is charged for instead of just included. (Pretty much all of the announced DLC on Soul Calibur V at the moment is a good example of this)

Yes there is but nobody knows which one this is or not.

That is true, though we will find out when the disc is hacked in the first week.

I know, I know, subjective topic at all, but I consider this the same as....
...a writer should not try to sell his Book One when he has already written some chapters of Book Two as well. Why not including those in Book One when they are done?
...they should not show Matrix Reloaded in the movies when the film was shot at the same time as Matrix Revolutions. How dare they decide if we only get half the produced content?

You are not paying for their efforts while they were in the studio all these years. That is the publisher's job. You are judging whether the offered package is good enough for you or not - and that is it. Customers have no say in whether additional content were made in the development process or not - and whether it is part of the package or not. The choice is still there: do not buy the product then.

FYI, the armshouse streaming is from the World Game Cup being held in France this week-end; they seem to be testing the setup, streaming, and such.
There will be an SFxT tournament, so keep your eyes on the official streams.

Fuudo is making it look like he was discovering the game.
Come on, it's probably the first time he's playing it, you could tell he was trying out moves and such! ^^

oh it's the same one, people started talking about fuudo I thought that armshouse stream was just two random beginners messing about.
They are setting up the WGC for this week-end, so pros and non-pros seem to take turns on the game. For example "Captain Algeria" is in the organisation team, and absolutely not a "pro player" per se.
Fuudo vs WorstGiefEver at the moment.

Books and films are different mediums and thus they follow different production cycles and have different expectations.

Additionally, in book series it is not uncommon for there to be a preview chapter of the next novel in cases like those you mention and if they are included they come at no extra cost.

For both of these other mediums though the next book or next film are considered completely separate products. Book two is not included in book one because book two is not finished yet. Matrix Revolutions was released later than Reloaded because it wasn't finished yet even though they filmed back to back.

This is a completely different matter that is unique to the gaming medium. If the content is on the disc and finished then...it is complete. They are not holding it back for SFxT: Crossier Edition because a character was incomplete.

I really like the SFxTekken stages. They took the SF4 stages and turned up the insanity tenfold. Fucking Dinosaurs jamming out and skate parts, Mecha Zangief in space stations. I absolutely LOVE Mishima Fortress/Final Fight Kabuki Theater, love the aesthetic and the music. The only one I don't like is Neon-Party Truck level.

Hmm, are they using the launcher mechanic when they're ending their combos or is it that other mechanic of going LMHH?

Also speaking of LMHH I guess that technically means I can use either P or K and mix and match?

Like doing , lk,mp, ,hp,hp or lp, mk,hk,hp?

It may be complete, but that does not mean they are obligated to include it in the retail package for us to use, and it does not entitle the customer to it, like it or not. It is the company's right to choose what content is in their package they sell. Maybe it feels unfair, but it's too bad for us. It certainly would be great if anything done by going gold came in the base package with no extra cost. I'd love to have everything they completed by launch for $60, but expecting it is being naive.

Ohh man my hype for this game has deflated. If this is the final roster then i will be so upset. Didn't Seth say that they didn't even reach close to the final roster count when they revealed Paul/Law etc in Jan? Sighhh

Seth said Super was the last SF4 update. And after that, AE was. And that Thor had some secret technology that made him an amazing character.

Point is, S-Kill says a lot of shit.

Speaking of Bison...this is what his intro with Juri looked like to me-
Juri: "LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB!"
Bison: "Hmmph, dispose of these miscreants and you may do all the footjobs you want"
Juri: "DONE!"

Random select isn't in this "final" build, clearly that means there isn't another build (since this is the "final" one) and that Random Select is Day 1 DLC.

Store is called Store on XBOX as well, store not Xbox Live Marketplace, Arcade mode is locked too, think about it.

Saw this on EH

Friend translated it

Juri: I guess this is fine. I can show you how to get things done.
Bison: Heh..there's nothing you can show me girl
Juri: Fine by me!

After Juri turns around it should zoom in on Bison's face as her goes "I was wrong bites lip* dat ass"

I'm sorry I don't like to take it from developers trying to pull this crap (And Capcom and Namco are both some of the worst at doing it). It means the game is really going to end up being $80-$90 instead of $60. Everyone always wants more characters in fighting games but at some point people have to stand their ground somewhere. I acknowledge from a business standpoint it makes sense for them because they know that people will pay it. I just wish it didn't always feel like the consumer was being shat on with these games. I love fighters but things just seem to be getting worse in this regard. I tolerated the annual release thing, especially since they were all budget price. Things are getting out of hand though. Now these companies are getting away with stuff like releasing a subsequent version only 8 months later (UMvC3), tons of already finished on the disc content (that game, soul calibur V, probably this game), and releasing an all new version only including one new character (BBCSEX). I am just feeling very slighted by the fighting game developers as of late.

I don't disagree with you on the sentiment. I've just given up on trying to fight a losing battle, since games in general are clearly going this way, and I still enjoy playing them. I've just had to cut down on my total purchases to compensate.

I'm glad people are more openly doing a 180 on this game at last. It's great to not be only a handful of people who were excited even when gems first were announced.

I'm pre ordering my CE soon. Which places have pre order speed gems?

I know GS and Amazon CE preorders give you every pre-order pack. Maybe Best Buy too.

I called wagon jumpers after first game presentations. The loudest whiners are the most predictable.

Three more weeks!
Hoping I can see more Jin gameplay up on youtube at some point. Keep poking into the stream here and there to see if they're playing him. I can't wait to try him out in this.
