Fuudo repping that Ogre
The reason it's "held back" is because it is planned as DLC. They don't just complete everything, then decide what to hold back. That's terrible project planning.
Yes there is but nobody knows which one this is or not.
Since the screen didn't show it can anyone confirm random select is in?
and now Fuudo is using Julia. Looks like I get to see my team being used by someone good :3 Julia/Ogre
If they complete something before the game goes gold and put it on the disc it should be part of the package you pay for when you buy the game, that is the bottom line. I have no problem with them planning ahead and starting that process before the game is done, I agree that is a necessity for DLC. However, if they finish that content before the game even ships they should not hold it back until later. I would also argue that some DLC definitely is decided at a later date to all of a sudden become something that is charged for instead of just included. (Pretty much all of the announced DLC on Soul Calibur V at the moment is a good example of this)
Fuudo is making this game look REALLY random. Tatsus and non-stop jumps all over the place...
They are setting up the WGC for this week-end, so pros and non-pros seem to take turns on the game. For example "Captain Algeria" is in the organisation team, and absolutely not a "pro player" per se.oh it's the same one, people started talking about fuudo I thought that armshouse stream was just two random beginners messing about.
I know, I know, subjective topic at all, but I consider this the same as....
...a writer should not try to sell his Book One when he has already written some chapters of Book Two as well. Why not including those in Book One when they are done?
...they should not show Matrix Reloaded in the movies when the film was shot at the same time as Matrix Revolutions. How dare they decide if we only get half the produced content?
You are not paying for their efforts while they were in the studio all these years. That is the publisher's job. You are judging whether the offered package is good enough for you or not - and that is it. Customers have no say in whether additional content were made in the development process or not - and whether it is part of the package or not. The choice is still there: do not buy the product then.
This is a completely different matter that is unique to the gaming medium. If the content is on the disc and finished then...it is complete. They are not holding it back for SFxT: Crossier Edition because a character was incomplete.
I wish you could do that with SF4's stage music. I almost forget that the Drive-In stage has a nice track because I'm hearing the shitty dramatic version of it most of the time. The only thing I don't like is that drowned-out intensity music, which luckily you can turn off
Even worse: 11 stages? Pre order cancelled!Oh noes! Only 40 characters in my fighting game, what am i gonna do!?
Ohh man my hype for this game has deflated. If this is the final roster then i will be so upset. Didn't Seth say that they didn't even reach close to the final roster count when they revealed Paul/Law etc in Jan? Sighhh
Speaking of Bison...this is what his intro with Juri looked like to me-
Juri: "LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB! LET ME GIVE YA A FOOTJOB!"
Bison: "Hmmph, dispose of these miscreants and you may do all the footjobs you want"
Juri: "DONE!"
It may be complete, but that does not mean they are obligated to include it in the retail package for us to use, and it does not entitle the customer to it, like it or not. It is the company's right to choose what content is in their package they sell. Maybe it feels unfair, but it's too bad for us. It certainly would be great if anything done by going gold came in the base package with no extra cost. I'd love to have everything they completed by launch for $60, but expecting it is being naive.
Ha! King's knee has the same notation as in Tekken. Good!
I'm sorry I don't like to take it from developers trying to pull this crap (And Capcom and Namco are both some of the worst at doing it). It means the game is really going to end up being $80-$90 instead of $60. Everyone always wants more characters in fighting games but at some point people have to stand their ground somewhere. I acknowledge from a business standpoint it makes sense for them because they know that people will pay it. I just wish it didn't always feel like the consumer was being shat on with these games. I love fighters but things just seem to be getting worse in this regard. I tolerated the annual release thing, especially since they were all budget price. Things are getting out of hand though. Now these companies are getting away with stuff like releasing a subsequent version only 8 months later (UMvC3), tons of already finished on the disc content (that game, soul calibur V, probably this game), and releasing an all new version only including one new character (BBCSEX). I am just feeling very slighted by the fighting game developers as of late.
WNF starts at 8 PM PST/11 PM PST right?
I think the way Capcom made the Tekken characters is just amazing...they manage to maintain their combo system in a complete different environment.
I'm glad people are more openly doing a 180 on this game at last. It's great to not be only a handful of people who were excited even when gems first were announced.
I'm pre ordering my CE soon. Which places have pre order speed gems?

I feel like I'm gonna miss Tekken characters in the next SF installment lol.
