Shadowrun looks to suffer the same problem as Too Human does, and I don't mean the luke-warm to openly hostile early reception. Even if the game turns out decent, good, or even great the chances of it getting lost in the crowd next year are astronomical.

I read the previews, if it was just another fps then I wouldn't be interested. It's trying something different so I'll keep an open mind and see where things end up. Level headed thinking, FTW.border said:
Its not shadowrun, its just not. When you take that out of the equation it still doesnt look very good (it just looks much better than before) and its a mulit-player only 360/PC FPS that fair enough, does do some things new/differentley, but basically sounds like just another shooter.
Im over hating it because its not the game i wanted, FASA can do what they want, but i wont be buying it.

Anyway, FASA is dead to me and Shadowrun is also dead. Because FASA killed it. I can never forgive them. Shadowrun was one of the great potential franchises but Microsoft's lack of vision killed it. They made the world a worse place. They had a chance to bring something good into the world and they chose the alternative, to bring crap in to it. **** you Fasa.

I wouldn't even give a shit if it was given another name. But the fact that they call this Shadowrun and it's a CS clone makes me loath the game and the people that made it (or at least those that designed it). This game needs to be cancelled (or change the name of the game).

huh?... first off, I said it's a huge improvement. They got rid of the Rare style shading and went with a more "natural" look. But yes, it does look good. And I do game in High-Def, so having screenshots that reflect what I will be seeing is preferred. I do realize that this irritates those people in the Nintendo camp. There's going to be many games in the Shadowrun universe over the years... I'm focused strictly on the gameplay. The gameplay looks solid... if not spectacular.

I never played the RPGs, so I had no real preexisting expectations. Then I played the new one for a few hours this week and it was awesome. I can't wait to buy it on PC.
