"Shadowrun will be the greatest awesome I'M COVERED IN...500 - Internal Server Error"

I'm really surprised with Shadowrun's community. So far, out of about the dozen matches I've played, everyone has been nice and supportive of each other. Nothing at all like the common retards found in the Halo world. All in all, a pleasent surprise.

Every 4v4 match I've been in has been terrific. Seems like people work together more as a team with 4v4 attrition. Not so much on 8v8 raids.

Anyone want to get a match going, my gamertag is Xploited13

While there are still some of the "charmers" in the community, I have to agree that gamers playing Shadowrun are a pleasant surprise.

I just played the demo for a couple hours, and I have a new respect for this game. It's tons of fun.....when people are doing things right. When people refuse to work as a team, it becomes a major headache.

I have a $20 gift card and I can't decide whether to put it towards Shadowrun or Crackdown.

Man, this matchmaking takes fooooorever. :(

When I first bought the game it took about 5 minutes each time to find a match, now it usually takes around 30 seconds to a minute. Maybe it takes lots of matches to build up connection and skill rank data to find the ideal match quickly.

Here's what i started to do...

You know how you can look at the last ton of people you played on XBOX Live in the far right tab? I just look on there and find the first person that has a joinable game going. Saves me the trouble of all the searching :lol

i can't believe the demo sold me on this game. i was honestly not expecting it to turn out as good as it did. the price is pretty much the only negative thing that i can say about it. Shadowrun is incredibly balanced, refreshing, and just an overall awesome multiplayer formula. Easily the best multiplayer FPS on the 360, if only for a few months. I'm definitely fine that there isn't a single player, but i'm just a little bummed that FASA shut down. After only playing the game for a few days, i would really like to see the game get a more fleshed out sequel with stat tracking, character customization, more maps and modes...etc.

I just got around to downloading the Demo. . .

HOLY SHIT, this game is pure fun.

I'm going to go buy the game today. O_O

Jumped in your game last night. You were kicking ass and taking names.

Got my resurrection achievement last night. :D

hop on tonight and we'll play some more. thanks for all the rezzes!

I wasn't aware 360 gamers were so starved for content. Last match I was in had two people screaming how much this game sucks, wishing ps3 had something better so they could trash their 360s, and swearing over anyone that disagreed with their opinion. :lol

Climbing around in Crackdown is awesome for about four hours. Then the game just ends and you're like what. Shadowrun is going to be fun through the whole summer! This isn't even a choice!

so whats everybody's favorite maps?
I kinda like them all, except for maybe Dig Site (it feels lacking in flanking opportunities compared to other maps) and Power Station was a favorite that is now getting on my nerves for the same reason as Dig Site.

If I had to choose two, it'd be Pinnacle and Lobby, though. I'm a heavy flanker who always plays a boosted elf who tries to work around the enemy's back in a variety of ways, and those two maps offer a huge number of ways to get around.

^^^

So I guess FASA's still in business...unless even the patching is being outsourced... (I will admit this: reading someone else's code can be a bitch....as to how another individual can patch/edit another's code in a reasonable amount of time is dependent on both good fortune and experience)

Note to everyone smartlink is cool but please don't buy it on the first turn unless you are a troll. the more people with ressurection the better. also i have noticed a lot of people helping friends get acheivements i hate this. i walked into a room and there was an elf with wired reflexes and his friend shooting at him with a sniper so he could block the shots. i hate that. i just killed them both.

I'd definitely buy Shadowrun - if for no other reason than that the Crackdown used game market has crashed hardcore. Now that the Halo 3 Beta is over, Crackdown is going for like $20 or so on eBay! So, get both games. :D

Yeah, there is hardly anyone I know on this game. I would really like to play with some GAFFERs too.

There's a bunch of us, although some have been lured away by tat devil Forza 2. Gamertag is the same as my handle, and I'm frequently looking for Gaf Shadowrunners.

Some of us need the aiming help. Buying rez only works for those folks likely to still be alive long enough to get rezzed. In short, first round with a pistol and rez means I'm generally dead long before there's a pressing need for rez.

No, the people who should always buy rez first are a)the really good shooters who are going to stay alive all the way through the round and b) the designated (or self-appointed) folks who always seem to hang back and try really hard not to get shot while simultaneously not shooting anyone. Me, I run directly into the crowd and kill as many as I can before dying horribly. It's what I enjoy.

so i played this at a friends house and despite my previous thoughts against it was pretty fun. i may get it for vista. i just will never get the idea of a fully realized shadowrun first person roleplaying shooter out of my head : ( maybe some day.

Yup Forza is hogging my Shadowrun time as well ...

I seen that yesterday, they were doing the blocking shot achivement, then the other guy started bleeding out, was rather funny.

Every achivement i've gotten so far in Shadowrun has been from playing, i just find they are a nice surprise at the end of a match.

Finally got my Brother From Another Mother achievement. Had no idea I was playing with someone on Vista. I wish I knew who it was just so I could look at their stats out of curiosity. Anyone here play on Vista btw?

Oh and to anyone looking for people to play with...Send me an invite any time. My GT is RyoGCH. I don't have any friends who own it so post here or invite me online if you want to play.

Come now, Crackdown isn't that short. Unless you're playing it on the easiest difficulty.

Does anyone know the specifics about the Gust Five people to death achievement? Does that just mean get 5 kills with Gust? Or do you need to Gust them off something and then they die from the fall. And I assume it's not all in the same game right? But damn Gusting people to death is fun:lol

Not sure if anyone is making a list of shadowrun players, but you can add my gamertag (Rogosh) to your list if you'd like. Just mention neogaf in the friend request if you send one.

As for the gust achievement, it's just 5 kills with gust. Be it to a fall, or through gusting a smoked player.

"Why"

Why does the entire game shut down when the host leaves?

Why is this game ****ing peer to peer?

Why must the entire room freeze up while a new player enters?

ugh... besides that I had a great time tonight.

It's been said before but this game is amazing when you're running with a good crew. Playing with random people generally makes me want to stab my ears, though. Oh the stories I could tell...

after a couple hours with this game ive decided to return it. Why? because the people playing this game are so disrespectful and foulmouthed that Shadowrun has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Sorry to hear that. Majority of my games have been well behaved but I've had some real winners recently.

Im having more fun on this that i did on halo 3 beta and it suprises me that i do. It just plays so well and as someone else has said the ratio of friendly players online is pretty huge to other fps games a good sign the bad elements arnt jumping on this one:D,
