Shadows of the Damned - GDC trailer

Reminds me of Resident Evil 4 a lot. AWESOME!

Gives me a similar feeling. (Resident Evil 4 / Grasshopper) + From Dusk Till Dawn = Shadows of the Damned

I like the look of the map screen at the end. Also, there's a weapon called Boner? Subtle.

Yeah. :D

REALLY worried about the clunky movement and camera controls. I adore Killer 7 and RE4, which had similar gripes sometimes, but this doesn't click with me...yet. Also those huge context sensitive buttons look hideous, too bad they aren't smaller.

Will buy to support Mikami but maybe not day 1. Need more footage and information before I make a decision

Finally starting to show some of the potential the developer pedigree implies.

Looks good, although I really hope that it has a RE4 style quick turn because it seems to really needs it with the slow turning speed.

I'm surprised by how much it looks like RE4. I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I've warmed up to the graphics though, looks OK in motion.

I'm not a fan of the graphics, the art style or the aiming and the movement controls look very clunky.

It'll probably end up being one of the best games of the year.

Pretty much my feelings. It looks the worst, but I expect the best and have little doubt it'll be amazing. Can't wait.

These guys are insane. I was worried about Suda forgetting his style with a big budget, but you can always trust him:

F***ING PUNK STYLE, lol

I just enjoy the fact that original games can still be made and will support it by buying Shadows of the Damned, even though it won't be a perfect game.

Looks worryingly generic, considering who's involved. I hope it's good, but I'm not holding my breath. At the very least, the soundtrack will be a good'un.

Seriously don't understand the people who throw out "generic" in regards to this game.

BINARY DOMAIN looks generic.

Damned is looking awesome, and I'll be there day zero.

I'm so glad the game was delayed. I didn't have enough money to satiate my need for InFamous 2 and my Mikami fanboyism in the same week. But, I think I can pull it off now.

That's it! Same here, but not being perfect doesn't mean I can enjoy it 10x more than other games, just for its uniqueness. Just like Killer7 or NMH ^^

Looks fucking cool. Mikami on board and Suda calling it Resident Evil 4-esque gets me so pumped. True successor to RE4? God I hope so.

Do tell us more. Thanks for contributing!

Sure. Animations and movement look far stiffer than RE4 (lest we not forget that was a GC title) and despite some similarities in mechanics I'm really hesitant at another shot at the RE4 formula--especially after RE5.

I suppose that this does have the fact that it's a campaign only game going for it but I'm not going to sit here and act like it looks amazing just because Mikami (one of my favorite guys in this industry) is involved.

After having played Dead Space 2 I'm just of the opinion that the gameplay shown above looks fairly drab...sorry! Will definitely give it a shot when its released however.

I wouldn't say the game is a looker either. But I don't think it looks like complete ass...just reeks of that UE3. What makes it compelling is the craziness and the people behind this game.

I'm a bit worried about the gameplay, but even so it's nice to get an HD game from Suda in a generation dominated by Western games that look and feel like they've been designed by committees.
