Talk about a thread save. Hype-not hype-Hype in the span of seconds. Thanks my man.
Eh.. depending on how they do it, could be lame. It's like Spider-man fighting a hypnotist.comedy bomb said:Maybe they'll draw from the Invincible Iron Man storyline where terrorists use modified Stark technology to turn people into human bombs.
Well I'll just disagree. I didn't have any problem with the villains. I liked the action and the WM subplot stuff. What I thought was boring and unnecessary was Black Widow and Happy having horrible action/comedy scenes together. She and Sam Jackson should never have been in this movie. Plenty of people I saw it with never saw the after credit scene from the first movie so had no idea where Sam of any of the Avengers stuff came from and I had to explain it all to them so I question how they have implementing the plot device.Kunan said:I really don't think the Avengers stuff ruined anything at all. They came for 5 minutes, said their bit and left. Plus, the way it was done, offering him redemption in a low point of the movie, was just fine. People seem to latch onto the Avengers parts as if they were the main problem. Its problems were elsewhere, namely boring villains with incredibly little depth to them, and the extended clusterfuck of an ending that there was in 2.
I thought 1 was good (always found the OMG BEST THING EVER people to be tinted by the fact that it came out during a really shitty period of movies), and 2 was decent. Here's hoping 3 is great.

I haven't followed up on this movie for a while but I found this interesting..Blader5489 said:Shane Black is NOT writing Iron Man 3
The writer is Drew Pearce, who also wrote the script for the Runaways movie (also likely coming in 2013)

More real world orientated sounds cool to me. But what a contrast to the more fantastical stuff relating to The Avengers, with elements like Thor and The Hulk./Film said:Deadline has the news, but adds only that they hear he will start from scratch and work closely with Black. The latter point is something wed expect any film like this would see the screenwriter working closely with the director. Im not sure what to make of start from scratch, however, because we dont know what sort of story material has been kicking around the Marvel offices. Im hoping that Shane Blacks recent comments about the film that it would be more real-world oriented, and play a bit like a Tom Clancy thriller, without the addition of other Marvel heroes still hold true.
Why For? said:Favreau wasn't the issue with Iron man.
Marvel was.
Nothing wrong with Favreau as far as I'm concerned. I liked both movies, but weren't Marvel meddling too much with the movie which was the impetus behind Favreau wanting out of the franchise?
If they did it with the first 2, no reason why they'd stop with the 3rd.
