I think Jett Rocket (the first one) is really underrated. With the dearth of 3D platformers on the market, the fact that this small team of guys were able to make such a good one on their first attempt is something to appreciate. Then you throw in the stunning graphics and the fact that the whole thing comes in at under 40 Megabytes, and it becomes even more impressive. I wish they would make a true sequel for the Wii U. The 3DS game had a few good levels which were fully 3D, but disappointingly, the bulk of the game consisted of underwhelming sidescrolling levels.
Iridion games OST was composed by Manfred Linzner, this medley must be heard:

Nanostray was my first Shin'en game and it was pretty dang fun. Got it used for cheap, too.Nanostray was my first Shin'en game, still own both games. Would like them to release another side scroller shmup...
Their games look great technically, but the art is so damn bland it hurts. It's a real shame.

Iridion was MIND BLOWING on GAME BOY ADVANCE
It was added after my post. Its in the OP and a couple of guys have mentioned it aha, but it really is a great game.
It was added after my post.
Huelsbeck and Linzer both come from the demoscene, which explains a lot.I really like Linzner OSTs.
The influence of video game music composers from the 8/16 bit era is undeniable, but he does a great job at sounding exactly like Chris Huelsbeck without ripping him off.
