I'm genuinely stuck on this one. Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed 4, and Battlefield 4 are all in my plan for next gen launch. With the guarantee of the FPS I want being 60 frames per second on console, I seriously need to weigh the benefits of each option.
For PS4:
Owning a Vita - remote play, if it works well, is a huge plus for me as I have 3 roommates and sharing the TV can get annoying.
Where my friends play - pretty much all of my friends are getting PS4s and few of them have capable PCs.
Streaming on Twitch - I absolutely love streaming my games, and it's a pain in the ass to run a quality PC stream.
For PC:
Graphics - I'm a bit of a graphics whore and I know my 580 and 4Ghz i5 will do well enough to outperform or match the PS4 for the next few years. I only play at 1080p.
Controls - I much prefer keyboard and mouse for first person games.
Modding and tweaking - pure joy for me. I love having as much control over my games as possible.
I'm torn.
Singleplayer FPS = PC
Singleplayer games expected to have a great modding community = PC
Other singleplayer games = PS4
Multiplayer games = PS4
Though Vita Remote Play needs to be tried by users first to see if there's minimal lag etc.
While for graphics alone it could become a case-by-case basis, especially in the second/third year (PS4 versions might look/run better because they are more optimized that what you will manage with your current PC specs, unless you upgrade etc.).
