Beware of the buzzing problems with the 606 and ps3, and i have been hearing heating and reliablity issues from AVS, and various fourms.

Well, my place is a wreck right now ... but my HT is really starting to come together!
My present to myself for Christmas was building a server, and getting an iStar HD (Networked Media Tank - same thing as Popcorn Hour).
Coupled with my video processor (and separate noise reduction processor), the results are fantastic. All my movies at my finger tips, filtered with the best NR available, reinterlaced/deinterlaced (to correct the deinterlacing errors from lesser processing), scaled to 1080p, and output at 24Hz for film-based material. All with an interface that isn't all that far off from XMBC.
The fact the iStar can play basically every codec and container doesn't hurt either ... nor that it supports PlayOn
