This thread isn't complete without a Simpson's gif that matches.

The way it explodes looks like the article should come with an obituary for the dude. Also, HD security camera, that's a lot of hard drive space.

This doesn't look real. Look at the entire glitch effects going on. I've not seen a lot of security footage but this looks off.

The phone could be a qib (a a small explosion that usually have blood bags in them- used in film). If it is a qib it explains how he can hold it to his face without it being dangerous. He is also wearing glasses so the safety would be double up for his eyes.
lastly, the way his mannerisms is angled doesn't look real. He twirls around in the chair, looking at the camera, and when the phone explodes he extends his leg like he is purposefully trying to fall out of the chair (quick sidestep with both legs)- then he gathers them, falls off the chair, while holding the phone.
I believe someone having an exploding phone would have dropped it immediately and raised themselves out of the chair.

It could be real, but it doesn't feel that way. Particularly due to glitch effects. it looks manipulated like it was done movie security cam footage for a show like CSI. And why the fuck did the monitor in the studio also glitch out when he was on the floor?
Seriously, the jitter effects is nowhere that petruding even when watch police dash cam footage from 80s.

I don't have Facebook but I really want to see a phone explode in ceelos face so is there a mirror? Even if it is fake I still want to imaging it's really exploding in his stupid face.

Because it is fake.

“Actually what you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project that I’m doing called Gnarly Davidson. It’s supposed to set up and introduce the new character identity. I’m still going to release the music, but first and foremost to everybody that love me and care about me, I just wanted to let you know that I’m OK…” Cee Lo said at the end of his live stream.

This dude really said it was a hoax for a new project of his named Gnarly Davidson like yo, you can't make this up lmao.

So, what exactly was the point of faking this?

Apparently it's for an upcoming project. It looks like it accomplished what he wanted it to do i.e. make people aware that he was working on something new. Somehow, the real loser in all of this is Samsung.
