As sad as it is to finally see him depart, that image is a big reason why I'm not that upset about it. I'd be lucky to have a life even a quarter as awesome as he had, and into his 90s, no less.
I knew this day would come but I was hoping he'd live into his 100s. He definitely lived a full and amazing life and I'm glad he was able to do the Hobbit movies.
An illustrious career. The type of actor that kids from the 80s & 90s only ever heard about in the golden age of Hollywood and he was still living and embraced roles that stood out while people his age were content with gardening and enjoying retirement.
The thing about Lee being a descendant of Charlemagne, is that actually true? I know little about Charlamagne besides that historians are fighting about if he was really French or German?
He was a marvelous actor but I don't understand why everyone is sad. 93 is a very respectable age. I'm just happy we were graced with his presence for so long.
