Oh.
Well, that was something.

I didn't want to spoil anything, but in a bad way.Not sure if you meant that in a good or bad way.

As if S3's "in the woods" horror episode wasn't ridiculous enough.
Yes, while hallucinating on shrooms.Jee, and this is the finale episode of the series as well!
In the woods? Was that when?Effy bashed the head of one of the twins
Same. S1-3 (except for the final episode of S3) are incredible television, as is Skins Fire (Pt. 2 in particular).Yeah, that was something.
Still, I liked S3. I don't think it was until S4 that the series started to irk me.
If these Cook episodes fail me, I'll just remember the series from S1-S3 + Effy's Special.

The rest can choke on its own tonally bipolar pretentiousness![]()
hahahaha oh wow that was fucking awful. what a great way to end the show, with an episode that symbolizes how badly it went to shit. part 1 was good, but this was just fucking terrible. and you know, the one thing people probably wanted to see, a bit of clarification from the end of s4, was not shown
I loved Part 1 of Skins Rise. Thought it was beyond fantastic. I admit that Part 2 wasn't as good but I found it surprisingly profound and moving. You have to have S4's finale fresh in memory to understand the depth of the episode's final moments. I thought that theAs for the reveal on Freddie's killer it was revealed infinal confrontation between Cook and Louis was tense, edge of your seat television..Part 1 when Cook delivered the line of "I killed someone". There's your revelation right there. He had a fight. He killed Freddie's killer. What else could they have possibly revealed?
Overall, Skins Fire was awesome. Skins Pure was a letdown (the ultimate filler episode as others have said). Skins Rise had an amazing Part 1 and a lesser but still profound and emotional Part 2. I don't know. Maybe it's the beer that I've had talking (I wanted to get drunk for the final episode of Skins) but I thought Part 2 was good. I agree that it wasn't as good as the setup (Part 1) but I felt moved by those final scenes. That entire last shot ofEmma just hanging there as Cook "rose" to the occasion was just perfect.
I do love Cook as a character (he was the prime reason I watched S3 and S4 so perhaps I'm biased) but I thought Skins ended on a high note. I felt moved by tonight's episode and that's all I expect from good television. Such an amazing series overall though. I'm going to miss it dearly.
Anyone else catch Part 2 of Rise yet?
Wow lots of negativity towards cooks last ep, I thought it was great. Knew it was going that way from the beginning. He's a phenomenal actor and I love that character. Cassie's episodes were a waste of time. I was disappointed with the lack of details on Freddie though.
Oh, I didn't hate it. It just didn't really feel like a finale for me.
The first series had some great cuts.I really don't remember the series being so "artsy" and self indulgent. Perhaps my memory is warped.
I thought for sure they'd have an awesome Cook episode. Make him a drug kingpin or something who goes around making trouble without a care in the world. Get him to shout "I'm fucking Cook" a few times at some unsuspecting kids on the street. Seriously, how hard is it to come up with an epic plot involving Cook?! But nope, instead we get this melodramatic bullshit.
And yeah - I thought Fire was decent but it still didn't feel like an episode of Skins. Time to download the first few seasons...
