No seriously one of these!

Skyrim |OT| Winter Is Coming
Skyrim |OT| Ned Stark would play, and so do you.
Skyrim |OT| A Game Of Dragons.

One of the main motivators comes in form of a TV-show - A Game Of Thrones. Admit it people that's what excites you the most about Skyrim!

Skyrim |OT| The North Remembers
Skyrim |OT| A Dance with Dragons

i know nothing of 'A Game of Thrones' other than its popular but i really like this title.
You should fix that. (Seriously, if you're at all interested in fantasy setting and/or books, you should read them).

The dragons thing is kind of funny... I mean I think they look great and expect they'll be great in the game... but if you think about it, it's kind of a huge leap of faith.

What is the most complained about thing in the history of 3D TES games? Besides scaling, it's cliff racers. They were just awful. Bethesda kind of demonstrated a real deficiency with those... and yet in Skyrim we basically have GIGANTIC cliff racers, but now they can annoy you in a myriad of new ways, including attacks on towns and murder of NPC's!

Big leap of faith to assume that suddenly they can design a gigantic, incredibly more powerful version of the worst enemy in TES history.
It's actually quite mind blowing when you put it that way. How can the same team that created these dragons be responsible for those obnoxious cliff racers? From the videos, the dragons look amazing. I think fighting them will be quite fun. The only thing I can see ruining them is if they appear far too often. It would be cliff racers and oblivion gates all over again.

Yeah, that's the one thing I'm fearing for. I hope they're still kind of rare, I don't want to be looking over my shoulder in such a world all the time.

I'm going to take that dragon hunter role seriously. You know, roleplay it. I see a dragon, i fucking kill it. If i have to, i'll kite it to a city and have the people in it to kill the cliff, er, dragon. Fear me!

i am a fan of fantasy books but i'm not too big on the writing style, where you read from many characters' perspectives.

I'm guessing FO3/NV apporach, instant level ups. But we don't know. Do we?

Heavily implied by people who've played it that they've been able to play with perks in the wilderness, so I'm assuming instant.

I'm for either of these.
Actually, yeah, I like these two the best (Post right here, criminal scum! or Heroes aren't made, they're Dragonborn).

A Dance With Dragons is great, but it is the exact title of the ASOIF book lol.

Which is why I'm not gonna use it.

Oh, well, I've already decided which one I was gonna use, anyway. Some seriously good ones in here, though.

Yeah, makes sense.

These last few weeks are going by so slowly. Need this game. Even Arkham City, which is a great game, is having a difficult time of holding my attention. I just want to play Skyrim.

I was skeptical at first too (I wasn't sure if I would be able to fully appreciate any of the characters when there are so many that it switches between), but it totally pays off and it's my favorite book series as of right now. Plus Arya Stark is the best character in fantasy (I'm gonna do a playthrough of Skyrim as Arya Stark lol). I still highly recommend you give the books a shot.

Back on topic, I still haven't decided if I'm going to hold off until Christmas for this. My mind says wait (save me money and it will be one less distraction around during final exams. Plus I have Batman and UC3 to occupy me), but my heart (and $10 amazon credit) says "pre-order now, you idiot!"
