with all this great scenery and the dragons involved this game it would be amazing if someone could create a flying mod for your character.

Hopefully they forget to fix paint brushes.

I remember the first impression of Cyrodiil looking more like this

Yeah, I am looking forward to this game's moment that is the equivalent of stepping out of the sewers in Oblivion for the first time. I am guessing that we will be stepping out of a cave in Skyrim when we get our first glimpse of the massive world that awaits. Cannot wait.

In Oblivion, what I did was divide the game into three parts: melee, magic, and stealth. I created three characters (warrior, mage, and assassin) and played the different parts of the game with each appropriate character. It allows me to experience the full part of the game without having your Hero of Kvatch have a knack for magic while also being the Master of the Thieves Guild.

My first character is going to be the guy on the cover, with a focus on sword fighting, crafting, and alteration.

Also, this might work more effectively in Skyrim with "Radiant Story" Bethesda was telling us about. So a mage could do the same quest as a warrior, and it'll change to a more magic-based playstyle.

Multiple characters... that's how I do it. I'm addicted to character creators.

So while a lot of GAF was complaining about those first 20 minute videos, I decided to go out and pre-order Skyrim today, and pay it off in full.

But you're falling for Todd Howard's great orchestrated joke!

If I could pay off my Amazon order, I would have as well :P

lol, the thing is, I saw their complaints, and even agreed with some. Like enemies don't react to you hitting them.

But damned if I don't still want to play the hell out of it.

Strike first, I say.

I dunno I've been stress testing it and it still seems to work normal, it just seems to be crashing slightly more than normal. It was still running Witcher 2 on the settings I've always had it on at the same frame range. Part of me wants to hold out but knowing my luck it'll die like right when Skyrim finishes downloading lol.

11 days left and no PC or PS3 footage?

Standard practice from Bethesda. You won't see ps3 footage until release most likely, or unless someone gets an early copy and you won't see PC footage until after we get our hands on it.

Was going to make a post about this but I didn't want to get banned. I know occasionally they are allowed but its usually if some alpha code gets released months before.

It seems the game has leaked and is now circulating around various torrent/p2p sites. Bloody shame.

Hrm, must be one of the console versions since the PC version is Steamworks.

Hoping to see how it differs from the leaked version from last week.

Even if the pc version was leaked you can't play it anyways because PC games always have like that last 100mb missing that's only downloadable on release day now. There's no pre-release piracy using that method on PC games.

That being said, I used my superior internet kung fu and came up empty. It's a false alarm.

fuck leaks. 11/11/11 I'm getting out of class going around the corner to GameStop and buying Skyrim. Then coming home and not doing shit all weekend. damn it I can hardly wait. Will be playing the traditional warrior first, then mage, and then assassin.

As someone said before, different characters are the way to go.

Steamworks doesn't denote anything really, DA2 didn't use steamworks and it used the same method of withholding data.

That is/was basically gonna be my play order. A paladin type first (warrior with restoration), pure mage, then assassin type.

But I keep wondering if I want to go pure mage first. Magic looks so much more fun in Skyrim than previous ES games.

Magic in Oblivion was clunky, but this is what I'm doing. It looks like the system they put the most thought into.

Assassination is probably the route I'm taking. The stealth kills and dual wielding look like great additions.
Is there footage of that? Stealth and assassination is all i took last time with Oblivion. Everything else was janky as fuck and ugly as sin. Figure it would be similar with this one, being Bethesda.

I wasn't aware that there are actual stealth kills. I mean I've seen in the trailers a couple instances where a player slits someone's throat from behind but you never know if that will only work in a certain quest or whatever.

Still that doesn't change much if the actual stealth is still broken and NPCs are all knowing and have god-like hearing.
