Look at all that stuff to steal!

can't wait until we're finally at the point of being able to actually use correctly animated hands for this stuff. Always hated the float-around grab physics in games.

Don't see how anyone can complain about the visuals. The game looks beautiful, and a hell of a lot better than Oblivion.
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that many of the most vocal critics, are familiar names (and gushing supporters) from that "other" RPG thread.

Honestly, don't understand why we can't enjoy both titles equally, without resorting to drive-by snark. It's mind-boggling, really.

Ah that explains it. I thought it was a magical book lol

Well that's not exactly a tall order.I hope they have proper PC textures at launch.

Oblivion looked great for it's time, but obviously shows it's age now. It was a given that Skyrim would look better, but I was merely pointing out that it just looks good period based on what we are seeing. It's Xbox 360 footage as well, so I am sure the PC version will look spectacular. I'll be going the peasant route with the 360 version, though. I am sure I'll be more than happy.

Slits thoat. Throat stays perfectly intact but chest ( also still seemingly intact ) miraculously spurts forth blood. That's a magical knife right there. Or typical Bethesda jank/laziness. But it's exactly what I'll be going for in terms of play style. Ninja like all the way in these games...with a touch of bow and arrowing.

While there is still some jank (I can't believe this word has become so common in this thread), in the animations, the art direction is really nice. Those forests and similar areas in the behind the scenes video were amazing looking artistically.

I am really hyped for this game, people who feel the need to talk down on it cause x RPG was better this year, need to realize their preference will not prevent them from enjoying both.

Yay, more useless bowls and candlesticks!

Those items aren't useless! I collected hundreds of sand-timers in Oblivion for my 'serial killer' character, The Time Stopper. He would kill people, drag them onto their bed and place a sand timer by their head.

I think I have problems.

Reminds me of a thread I read once where one guy in morrowind had killed an NPC in his home, hidden his body, taken his clothes, and pretended to be him by walking around in his pattern and talking to the other characters the NPC commonly spoke to..

I wish companies would release it early if a pirate version is out :( May aswell release it on steam so people can pay 60 dollars for it instead of getting it for free 2 weeks early

I always wish for this and it never happens. Has any company ever done this?

If we both got arrested in the Elder Scrolls universe, I would tell the newspapers that I was partly inspired by his hijinks.

EDIT: Has anyone got a link to that post? It used to crack me up.

I would imagine for bigger game publishers, its not very simple to do something like that, and there would have to be tons of red tape.

I see it happen with bands that have albums leaked early. But i guess that is as simple as pressing a button.

So I found one. Here Except there isn't any sound and he doesn't realize that he has a window blocking the stream for the viewers. People are trying to get his attention. He's still at the beginning of the game. Luckily the window was blocking it so I missed the opening lol.

Fuck, this made me laugh so hard.

Anyone know if it has steam achievements? I know it is steamworks, but on the steampage it doesn't show any achievements....yet. I am just trying to figure out where to buy it from

I don't think Oblivion looked good for it's time at all. It was the first instance in a PC game where I thought "god, this bloom is the worst shit in the world". It also ran like shit.

i think the shadows give it away.

Until you realize the shadows in Battlefield 3 are almost that bad as well. Could very well be the PC version.

Wow.. watching the stream.

Landscape and skybox is beautiful. It's amazing how wide open it is... so much to explore.

I will not spoil myself, I will not spoil myself, I will not spoil myself, I will not spoil myself, I will not spoil myself.

Map looks awesome. Like that they still have the overland and local maps.

EDIT: Maybe its me, but a large portion of that whining from the other Intro thread seems ridiculous.
