Skyrim: New(er) Screenshots and Previews

The complains about him being bad are pretty inane. He doesn't seem that bad and regardless it's a quite obnoxious complaint
He did forget to loot the guy for the claw though. That doesn't make him bad, just that he has to back track now. Unless people are talking about another stream.

So what I was assuming before was correct. The game uses up most of a full 360 disc and then it has an install of common assets like what was done for BF3.

Full game is 7.79 GB, assets are ~4 GB

Looking pretty nice, I still hope you can disable the navigation bar thing at the top, I like the idea of randomly exploring places.

You can, kind of, you can change the opacity of things on the UI.

Watching these streams is making the wait for this game so much more unbearable, and yet I can't stop watching.

I like how you can overcharge the spell with dual casting or just casting it normally but from both hands.

Yeah, I am sure there are going to be all kinds of little and big improvements everywhere that we are not even seeing yet. People saying that there are not any are nuts.

Ten more fucking days.

Damn, is that mace he's been using really beastly or something (came in after he got it)? That Frozen Axe was awesome! And it glowed blue. Tough to pass up.

I think it was two handed, so he can't use magic with it.

Another item thats nice, it will mark dungeons as cleared on the map if you take care of them.

EDIT: Idle animations for NPCs, especially during conversatios, are a nice addition. BUT, lack of facial animation is bugging me.

Ah, people actually look human, and no more static conversations. I am never going to want to leave this game based on what I am seeing. Improvement everywhere and overflowing with atmosphere.

+1. People look like people now, and the voices are decent.

EDIT: Lightning based spells look great.

He's a fun guy who happens to comically suck at the combat. Obviously doesn't say anything about him as a person and probably just makes it more entertaining to watch. :>

Didn't they say the NPC's would be more dynamic, and not stare at you when in a conversation? Doesn't seem like it.

Remember the wood cutter guy that was talking while he was throwing logs into the mill? That is the kind of thing they were talking about, which is cool. Plus, no more pausing and zooming in during conversations. Everything keeps going on around you and you can still move around as well. Night and day difference.

I really, really hope you can turn off those "x increased a level" messages, seems pretty gamey for an "immersive" fantasy game. I'm fine with a sound effect.

Is water wet? Preorder rides on this...

Hey, joke all you like, but that's why the elk couldn't get out of the water. That and it was swimming towards a waterfall before it realized it. How many games include a movement modifier to mimic water current? I only hope its dynamic.

The city looks fantastic.

Being chased through the woods by a pack of wolves.
Low health and not quite fast enough to survive much longer.
In the distance is a cliff.
Hears running water.
River flowing off cliff equals waterfall.
Run across river and use the frost shout to freeze all of the wolves at once only to send them down the river and over the waterfall.

got myself excited a little bit...

Theoretically, this might work.

this guy is annoying to watch ....

"how do I get there ?"

FOLLOW THE F***** ROAD !! xD

seriously ....

other than that the only real bad thing I saw is the shadows that are pretty much Oblivion bad :p

Looks nice to me. But what I think is a little bit sad is that the game still has a loading screen when you want to go inside a house. Maybe it has to be like that, I don't know, but still..

You guys are weak for watching the streams!

I'd totally watch them too if I weren't at work. :/

On the contrary. Has fully solidifed my hype. That crappy intro video a couple of days ago was just that.

I'd rather it not, but I have the feeling that it would make modding it more difficult.

If it means more detailed insides with bigger areas, it is a fair trade off than streaming the whole town and all the insides.

I imagine next gen we could see that, but I don't think this would be possible in Skyrim on the 360.

This is what I said yestarday, the neogaf process goes: something comes out to lower or destroy hype -> the next day, something else comes out, and the hype returns.
