So I’ve been on ps5 for the last 5 days and there’s something which hasn’t bothered me much. But seeing giant bomb folks or king thrash talk about a certain thing, find a particular issue to be bad and extremely inconvenient. So what is this issue? Well if you get a cross gen version of the game, there’s too much player input needed and lack of automated systems to help you play the best version on ps5. It defaults to the PS4 version. If you don’t check the game version, chances are you’ve been playing the PS4 version. Why is the PS4 even mentioned in the ps5 condole for a cross gen version?
Meanwhile on Xbox, apparently the console thanks to smart delivery system, automatically gets you the best version. No player inputs needed. You don’t play a Xbox one version on a series x console. Smart delivery isn’t just a marketing buzz word now. Why is the ps5 not having this level of automation and convenience?
Again this isn’t an issue for me at all, but I can clearly see why this is so problematic for many who’ve bought cross gen bundles or versions
