This is actually not bad from Nintendo's perspective (and fans who haven't found a Wii yet).

It gives them time to replenish Wii stock during February and give fans at least a small chance to find one before the game comes out.

In all likelihood, Wiis will remain more-or-less out of stock through 2008, but the best chance to fill the channels will be during the slow 1st quarter. Launching in early Feb. with little time to get Wii's into the channel would just wouldn't be cool.

Hopefully Nintendo is still manufacturing 1.8 million a month because they are gonna need them.

Nah - that was the Winter releases schedule. The Spring one isn't official yet.

The smart money is on an Easter launch for Europe. Mar 14th/21st/28th if we are lucky, May if we are not.
