So in the spirit of the music update, what songs from various Nintendo games do you want to see renditions of in Brawl?

Bramble Blast (Donkey Kong Country 2)
Bramble Scramble (Donkey Kong Country 2)
Screech's Sprint (Donkey Kong Country 2)
Animal Antics (Donkey Kong Country 2)

Stickerbrush Symphony (Donkey Kong Country 2)

Oh...yeah, I agree =x

Donkey Kong Country did have some awesome tracks, shame they always kept withing the main theme and the DK Rap shit ass shit though.

Definitely the Onett theme from Earthbound, love the intro to it and the payoff when the whole thing kicks in.

Dragon Roost Island from Wind Waker would also be nice, good stuff there.

Kirby, the King Dedede boos fight, rad stuff. Lots of good music in that franchise too, which is surprising given the look of the game, the music is very cool.

that game's music was so atmospheric, it was one of the reasons I replayed the levels so much.

I can't count how many times I've said the Kirby franchise has some of the best/most intricate music of all videogames. It's just masked behind the cutesy look and fanciful instruments (calliopes and whatnot).

Interestingly enough, my least favorite Kirby songs are all the ones that ended up in Smash Bros. Melee.

Yeah, DKC2 had some great music -- they should definitely work something from that into Diddy's stage. (He was the lead in that game, after all.)

I've just listened to the Brawl theme "properly" (read: with headphones).

It's...just...TOO epic. My goodness *dies of epicness*

Yeah, the song is there, but I want to see if the intro can top SSBM. It had an awesome arrangement and everything. It never gets old to me.

In terms of Epicness, the Brawl Theme wins.

Yes! I really hope the Kirby series isn't underrepresented musically in SSBB. But I guess to some extent it'll depend on how many of the composers wanted to work on Kirby music... Hopefully they recognize its quality.

The intro will definitely be topped. They're really upping the epic factor and fanwanking this time around, and the intro will reflect this. I hope they can surpass the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors intros, though.

I'm sure that Sakuri will make sure that Kirby is well represented :D

I say we have about all the starter characters revealed going by the common sense, and the boxart... could be earthbound week, if Lucas isn't replacing Ness (I doubt it will happen). If anything, Ness is the starter Mother character and Lucas can still make it as a secret character.

Captain Falcon calls.

I'm gonna throw statistics out the window this time and just predict something wild: Daisy or Lucas. Daisy slightly more likely because Amir0x is going to be kept waiting as long as he ever is for any Mother-related content.

Also, I anti-predict Captain Falcon, just to mess with all of us (myself included) who keep predicting him.

I predict something unpredictable
But, in saying that, you made the prediction, and thereby made it predictable. I, on the other hand, will be predicting something predictable. Between us we're guaranteed to be right.

EXCITE TRUCK STAGE

But what if there is no update and we are both wrong? Or what if there is a double update and we are both right?

Yes! The world and music of this game are incredible...I can still hear the theme that plays over the "menu screen" on my head.
I'd do anything to get the Venus Lighthouse theme in the game...

Hmmmm. Well I guess we could just classify "no update" as either a valid or invalid prediction and then happily forget about it, even if that seems like a copout! Double or triple or other tuple update would be awesome of course!

I highly doubt there would be 2 Megaton updates in a row, so I'm guessing something weak like and item, or assist trophy. Maybe a Final Smash for someone.
Prays for a new/returning character.

Ganondorf voice in the game? Ganon confirmed!?

I was scrolling around Imdb and stumbled upon http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0928380/fullcredits#cast looking on what Miyamoto's current projects were. If you click on the actor's name , it shows his past voicework on previous games and tv shows. Take it as a grain of salt!

Of course Ganon will be in the game

Lets just hope the update has nothing to do with "crossbow training" :/

Sakurai: "I think this was a necessary step that you all saw coming. Online mode................. is being replaced with Crossbow Training!"
"We believe this to be a necessary step in increasing SSBB sales."

I predict Kos-Mos this week, Nintendo does own her now, after all (right? or is it Namco?)

Buuut since that ant gonna happen, I do think a new character is due

I do believe that Namco-Bandai owns Xenosaga. Still, that's a good thought.

I predict something lame tonight, it's a Monday after all.

I predict that Sakuri will announce the online mode but online for leader boards. At the end of the post he will tantalizingly say "I wonder if there are any other online modes...."

I've gotten the impression that we've seen a somewhat steady progression from single updates per day to double updates per day over the past week.

Am I right? It seems like we had a "two part" update nearly every day last week.

Any chance updates are being ramped up?

Sakurai has so much awesome awesome in store for us that he thought "oh shit, 100 updates isn't enough!"

And no I didn't accidently put awesome twice. The first awesome is an adjective, the second is a noun.

The fucked up thing is that this game doesn't come out till December. Around 45 more updates and even though it seems like there couldn't possibly be more, there is. Then you have to factor in all the secrets that will be in this game.

Seriously, this is a crazy ambitious game.
