...Items are the safe bet, though, really. Haven't had one since September 17th, making Smash 101/Technique the only update type less recently seen. And there are only so many of those to go around.

We are lucky, I agree, but as a fan of both MGS and SSB, I just had to ask.

I mean, seriously, Mesal Gear Solid's replacement voice for Snake was terrible, and I'm thankful for Hayter's appearance, and I understand why his voice would be so gruff, but I imagine that if the right people were involved, they would've played back his MGS2 voice to him to show what he was doing then.

But don't mind me, I'm just a fanboy that loves his games enough to care :)

I signed up for neoGAF, found I couldn't post a thread, forgot about the account, came back, and was pleasantly surprised :P
 
I'm not about to ruin the other thread by saying this, but honestly, I prefer the low-res pictures. No idea why except possibly that the jaggies are less apparent, same as they wouldn't be apparent looking at the game in motion.

No no, Crushed got Perma-Junior'd by...I forget who, was it Bishop? I thought he lost all his powers in the process but apparently not. Too bad though, the thread's already been made.

And Jiggy, IGN's shitty compression is notorious.

Yeah, it was Bishop. He was celebrating his graduation to member in a Junior Activation thread and Bish knocked him down a peg.

...What? No, the jaggies are naturally in the game. IGN didn't just magically make them appear.

In fact, their new SSBB screens are less compressed than their other screens usually are.
 
Okay, in that case I amend my comment to "I still prefer the low-res screens because they're more similar to the way the game will actually look."

Lets think positive and think that there will be a big announcement every day to launch now that we're only 2 months out. They could probably fill up ~40 updates with nothing but characters, levels, assist trophies and final smashs.
 
Just saw last night's updates.

Wow. Just wow.
How do they keep surprising us day after day with their creativity and humour?
The amount of fun and hilarity packed into this game is just staggering.

Also, I think whenever you play a stock game on Shadow Moses and a character is eliminated, a voice should yell "Diddy Kong? Diddy Kong???? DIDDY KONG!!!!!!!!!!" Or whoever you're playing as.
 
I fear Ike's final smash will be some giant Radiant Dawn spoiler.

It will be something like "THIS IS THE ATTACK IKE USED WHEN HE FUSES WITH GOD AND LAYS WASTE TO THE WORLD"

But seriously, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't in. Co-op was a fantastic addition to Kirby Super Star, and Sakurai has already used the Smash Bros. games to expand on so many ideas from KSS that I think he'll take this opportunity as well.

I don't really think this game will have co-op and I don't really care if it does. I can't see playing it with another player as being very fun. Even on the highest difficulty in Melee the AI was a joke. If someone else is over I'd rather play against them than with them.

I love co-op games but Smash isn't a series I can see myself having a use for it in.
