Smash Bros Brawl Dojo Official Update Thread: Goodbye, Cherry-don

Pretty sure I’ve only done this before for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday updates… So here’s the Wednesday Dojo update breakdown.




Wednesdaytons:

None, really. At least not by my reckoning, where the only megatons so far have been My Music, Subspace Emissary, Wi-Fi Play, the Musicians, and Four Types of Control.


Noteworthy updates:

August 1st - Ike profile
August 22nd – Diddy Kong profile
September 19th – The enemies of Subspace Emissary


Everything else:

Mario profile + Link profile double update, moving and shooting, recovery mechanic, Metroid music, Wario profile, Banana Peel item, Bowser’s final smash, Bumper item, Samus’ final smash, Skyworld stage, Kid Icarus music, Stickers, Pokemon Trainer’s moves, Meta Knight profile, Battleship Halberd stage, Mr. Resetti assist


Wednesdays mostly suck, but hey, two of our four non-E3 newcomers were Wednesday updates! With Lucas already revealed on Monday, though, can't really bank on lightning striking twice here...

I don't really think this game will have co-op and I don't really care if it does. I can't see playing it with another player as being very fun. Even on the highest difficulty in Melee the AI was a joke. If someone else is over I'd rather play against them than with them.

I love co-op games but Smash isn't a series I can see myself having a use for it in.

The handicap was pretty high on the harder difficulties. Maybe just for co-op mode they could set you to the equivalent of a 2 handicap and really get that old-school arcade beat-em-up feel going.
 
It's time we got a new Pokemon item besides Pokeball. I'm going to predict the Rare Candy. No clue what it'd do though besides something predictably health related. :lol

Increase the damage of your single-hit B attacks by 2-3% for the next minute, and your multi-hit B attacks by 1% per hit.

Unless said B attack is Fox's reflector. >:( Or Marth's Counter, but only because that has its own mechanic.
 
Now that I'm thinking Pokemon, I really want a Pallet Town or Safari Zone level. Or any other locale from Red/Blue/Green.

Too bad it'll never happen in favor of something Diamond/Pearl related.

And where is the Gold/Silver love?

Still sticking with Rare Candy prediction though.

Christ. Don't say that. I really don't want to be forced to buy this game. Previously I've stated that I'll only get it if it has Sonic. But if any Monkey Ball characters make it in then it's an instabuy for me.

Adding to my list of 'obscure and no chance of occuring' dreams that might make me purchase this game, I want an Ouendan/EBA Assist Trophy.

I believe I have informed you people of it before.

I don't know about that one. Pokemon seems to be the franchise here where the newer stuff is being ignored in favor of the classic.

Mother has Lucas, Fire Emblem added Ike, Wario is going with Wario Ware rather than Wario Land, Zero Suit Samus is not the Justin Bailey Samus (who had greater impact), Link is using his TP items, Mario has FLUDD but not his N64 caps nor his SMB3 suits, etc., yet Pokemon kinda sorta got three new characters and all of them are from the original games.

Not that I'm complaining in the slightest, but if I was going to bet that some Smash series couldn't possibly have representation from older games in the series, Pokemon definitely wouldn't be it. >_>

In a game with the SNES Sim City's Dr. Wright, and the Devil from Devil World who maybe one or two people in this whole 25,150+ post thread had ever heard of, I don't see how you can say there's no chance because they're too obscure. :P

Those are first party characters, and they probably will be assist trophies.
 
To commemorate the launch of the new SMG HP, Sakurai will release more Mario goodness!

I predict Mario's entire move set (all specials, tilts, and smashes) will be revealed.
 
In a game with the SNES Sim City's Dr. Wright, and the Devil from Devil World who maybe one or two people in this whole 25,150+ post thread had ever heard of, I don't see how you can say there's no chance because they're too obscure. :P

They have already revealed his final smash and some of his specials
 
*searches through iTunes for a suitable piece of music to carry through to the update*
*finds the Route 1 theme from Pokemon*

I'll take it.

I'll do what I did for Snake update and go to bed with my laptop on sleep mode beside me.

Or I could wait until morning but I ditched that approach long ago.
