I don't have time to prepare things like that, I died in WoW so I alt-tabbed to find the thread at nearly 40k get. I really like that moment in FFX, so I thought it would garner a laugh from someone.

Needs less filler posts to propel this to 50k.

I'm not helping by saying this...but it's such a pain to go through this thread when so many people are talking about how many people have talked in this thread.

And filler contributed by people who don't like others that complain about people who post filler in this thread.

Or, by people talking about how they don't like people that talk about those that talk too much about people who talk too much in this thread.

Everything has been talked to death, and some of us, for whatever reason, find posting in this thread to be sort of a filler post drug addiction, or at least I think so.

Like... saying the stupidest shit like posting about how people are posting that shouldn't be posting and then posting about posting the posts that other people are posting D:

I really, really doubt we'll see a newcomer this month. We haven't even seen the redesigned Sheik yet (mentioned in that old Anouma interview) and it also wouldn't fit in with the way newcomers have been revealed up to now (there was one entire month without newcomers between the ones with them).

If Mega Man is in, what kind of character do you expect him to be ?
I was thinking heavyweight (I mean the Bowser kind of heavyweight), fastfaller, no super armor, limited/no vertical recovery but great horizontal recovery (cf X3 Hover Jump), with average speed on ground and very fast in the air, and wall jump.

For better or for worse, I expect him to fight like in Power Battles. He's a platforming hero so he'll have good jump capabilities.

Final Smash could be him+Rush into Hyper MegaMan.

I wonder if they'll give him the ability to shoot upwards... nah.
 
I predict that tonight Zeed will dodge his ban bet bullet, the thread will grow 15+ pages (by the 50-post standard), lol smileys aplenty will be had, and sp0rsk will be at a loss to create a new title, because the next newcomer will be the playable DS.

Bad joke, I know >_>. In any case, I don't think it's too unlikely, considering how Smash Brawl already has the green shell, the homing red shell and the thunder. The only Mario Kart item missing completely is the explosive blue shell.

The last Fridays have been rather week, I hope this one will break the trend, but I wouldn't be surprised if it continues it... : /

Sakurai does not read this thread and decide what to unveil based on it.

Its clear he decides what he wants to do then reads the thread for personal entertainment. Dance monkeys!

What? Stages aren't lame they are awesome. The only stage needing to be revealed that we know of already is the Mario Kart stage.

I think that will be my prediction for tonight.

Only awesome stages are ones without platforms. So we have like 3 good stages.
 
I have a bad feeling now that it's not going to be a character.

Oh well, time to break out the Fire Emblem and Umbrella Chronicles.

Well, Miyamoto hasn't really been making games that I want for the past 5 years. He's been focused on games for my non-gamer friends. I'd rather not have him telling Sakurai what to do in what will quite possibly be one of the biggest "hardcore" games Nintendo will have ever produced. There was that blog by one of the 1up editors that someone here bashed. I read it a while later and I have no idea why the guy was bashed because it was right on the money. Brawl is the only Nintendo game that actually is adding all the little things that makes gamers cry with joy. I'm not saying Mario Galaxy isn't amazing, it is, but I'm saying Brawl is taking everything a step further.

I highly, highly, highly doubt Miyamoto is very involved in the game this time. I know he was the last two times. That's one of the reasons I don't want him to be anymore. The interview that revealed to us that he didn't let Sakurai do a full-fledged 1 player mode makes me think he definitely held Sakurai back.

This is not Miyamoto's game. It's Sakurai's game. Miyamoto is working on games for non-gamers. He doesn't seem to give a damn about me anymore so I don't see why I should care about him. I think E3 2007 proved that. When you bring out Miyamoto and make him demo Wii Fit for 40 minutes, you know there's no hope for another Pikmin or Mario.

(Not a new Pikmin/Mario game, but I mean some awesome new franchise for gamers).

Amen.

Now, I practically worship Miyamoto - as far as gaming is concerned he is perhaps the single greatest person, alive or dead, and you cannot deny the man's talents and contributions. I also think I understand why he rushed Sakurai - for the original SSB they thought they didn't need more single player games, and for Melee they wanted it out in time for the holidays.

But Brawl is going to be Sakurai unleashed, and I think it will definitely benefit from the lack of interference.
