Smash Bros Brawl Dojo Official Update Thread: Goodbye, Cherry-don

You know what I thought was so interesting about Smash Dojo?

That details for the game were being localized for every territory, and thus the game was essentially being localized the same time new details are released.

Why there isn't a worldwide release almost baffles me.

But then Nintendo might run out of copies in the first few days and would rather build up enough supply I guess.

In my eyes, the only true Ganon is the blue, trident-wielding pig from the classic Zelda games. All other Gerudo or giant demonic monster Ganons are merely pretenders to the Triforce of Power.

Seriously, though, wouldn't it be awesome to fight a classic, teleporting, trident-throwing and fire bird-summoning Ganon in full 3D?

Any way...I refuse to believe that list's credibility. I'll go with the notion of waiting for CoroCoro in a week or so.
 
For the record, I also support pig Ganon. Several times better than his human form, which isn't even as good as Majora and Vaa--well, okay, let's not go as far as Vaati.

Yeah it's pretty old actually, but the new added ESRB rating might be new. Thing is, I still believe that is just a placeholder like Galaxy's was for a long time.
 
I for one hope the boxart isn't the finalized version--it's ruining my hopes for seeing a girl Pokemon Trainer alternate costume. Plus it needs more Captain Falcon, Lucas, Donkey Kong, Ike, or Ice Climbers instead of double dipping on the Pokemon, Kirby, and Mario franchises.

How does it affect the chances of that at all?
It's definitely the final box art. It's already finished because the game was originally scheduled to be out by now, remember?

EDIT: Oh, I understand now. You meant seeing the girl Trainer on the box. Apologies.
 
No, I actually do mean in the game. >_> I figure that the more they advertise only the Pokemon Trainer's default, the more likely it is that he really has no alternate except a color change. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, though. I tend to be like that about things I really want to see in Brawl. (Like Jigglypuff, and Captain Falcon still being Captain Falcon instead of Berserker or the worst-case scenario of Rick Wheeler. D: I'm terrified by the possibilities with Falcon...)
 
I'd like Skull Kid. Put him in there with Olimar, Ridley, and you-know-who and I'm good for new characters.

As for Ganon, I'd prefer Wind Waker Ganondorf, and Wind Waker Link to be in the game as well. His final smash should be flooding half the level and floating around on the King of Red Lions firing bombs. :lol

I don't think they wouild put an alternate color/costume on the box even if she was in but yeah...

I also don't like it that much at all and willing to bet that it is just a placeholder the team making the boxart made with the released Dojo update and not final.
 
I'm just as paranoid about Ness. :/ As much as I BELIEVE that he will be in.

In all honesty, if Sakurai just confirmed Ness, Jigglypuff, and Captain Falcon, and added Ridley, I'd have nothing left to ask of Brawl.
 
While we're on the topic of paranoia, anyone worried that there'll be another delay for North America too? Or are we just figuring this is the usual ruination of Europe and it doesn't influence anybody else at all?
 
I'm paranoid of learning too much about the game. One of the best things about SSBM was the element of surprise

As soon as the game hits Japan, it's going to be impossible to avoid spoilers.

Your answer is in bold. I mean think about it, they have to translate everything into all those languages so of course it isn't going to come out the same time as Japan or North America. And NOE isn't on the ball enough to be translating right now to have it out in time -- they'll be lazy and wait until after Treehouse has had a shot at it.
 
I was about to reply saying that if they're able to get a game with as much as text as Advance Wars out in both regions almost simultaneously, they should be able to handle Brawl. But then I remembered the trophies.

Yeah, it's just business as usual in Europe.

Last time, they didn't have a Japanese release date for SSBB in Japan, but now they do, so I think another delay is unlikely.

I've got a question about the snapshots feature. We all know that we can transfer pics to the SD card but do we know if on the SD card they're image files that we can put on our pc's and other things or are they stored as typical .bin wii files that we cant get pics out of :(?
 
I too have a question. Why is it that the english sites bothered to show the music for X, a Japanese only game boy game, while the 'secret' cooking navi music in kirby's final smash only appeared on the japanese page?
 
I'm of the belief that the boxart is final but i still find it surprising neither Sonic or Snake is on there, so maybe they'll change it a bit before release, it's not like they're surprises anymore.

I'm guessing updates will end when the japanese version comes out. It would seem pointless to continue them after the game is already out.
 
You know what, even though pig gannon is classic I'd much rather have WW/TP human ass kicking gannon than shitty spin the trident, knock out the lights, turn to dust gannon.

the same reason Mike Jones is gonna appear on the Japanese page when he is announced as a character despite StarTropics never comming out in Japan.

why was it again? I seem to have forgotten.

The Melee site apparently had some updates after that game was released. Of course, the Melee site wasn't as in-depth as the Brawl site leading up to the game, so infer whatever you will.

Correct. It was fairly pointless when the final updates came out.

I believe so, too.

Again, by the time the JP release is out, his site will be of little consequence, since 2channers and importers (like yours truly) will become better and more continuous sources of information. That's why I think he's enjoying his little power-trip that he can get from drip-feeding us agonizingly, while it lasts. :lol

Any way, I've said it before, and I'll guess I'll say it once more. Lucario, Ridley, Olimar and a certain blue guy are pretty much the only ones I could stand to ask for, as far as a few more newbies are concerned. Though, if they would surprise me with the likes of Jody, Zoda, Pokey (preferably Mother 2 version, in his end-boss walker) and/or a bad-ass female from Fire Emblem (like Lachesis from FE4!), that'd be nice, too...

For a game as stellar as Super Mario Galaxy, I'm willing to deal with accusations questioning my orientation.

I'm halfway tempted to say that I'd cancel my preorder if Lucas isn't on the box art, but I just can't say that with any kind of honesty. Though Lucas should seriously be on the cover.

I read somewhere on gamefaqs that Sakurai had something similar to the daily updates on the Dojo before Melee came out. Does anyone remember if that is true?
