IMO if a double update occurs tonight the top would be 200 and the second would be 199 since the rest of the updates chronologically force the list down and the first is on the bottom.

Turns out that, no, whether you arrange the posts oldest to newest or vice versa, it still organizes double (or triple) updates in the same way.

Edit: Wait, I think I just re-confused myself. Okay, here's the deal:
Going by newest to oldest, if we got a double update tonight, the "top" update would be #200. Going by oldest to newest, the "top" update would be #199. So depending on what your preference is here...

Am I the only one who is a bit perplexed as to why, in Melee and Brawl, Paper Mario has never been considered as a character?

Or is there hope for him to appear in Brawl?

Paper Mario seems to have been a popular choice among the creators of fake rosters, so you're not alone if you expect him to appear in Brawl. As to why he wasn't in Melee, there was only the one Paper Mario game when Melee was being developed. I don't think it would have occured to the developers to treat Paper Mario as a separate entity. We've since had two more Paper Mario games, and, more importantly, gamers have come to expect things from a Paper Mario game (namely, RPG elements and hilarious dialogue) that we don't see in the traditional Mario platformers. Now that Paper Mario is an established brand, it is very reasonable to wonder if he will get a spot on the roster.

Besides, if Sakurai wants a new version of Mario in Brawl (like Dr. Mario in Melee), he's choosing between Paper Mario and Baby Mario. (I'm not counting Bowser Jr.'s transformation in Super Mario Sunshine, which would be his alt or Final Smash if anything.) If you've played Yoshi's Island, then you probably already know that Baby Mario crying is the second most annoying instance of voice acting in the Nintendo canon.

In summary, Paper Mario would be a fun character to play, and if his inclusion keeps out Baby Mario, so much the better.

In the past, Sakurai has updated based on certain things becoming common knowledge or being revealed otherwise. Like when DK was revealed at.. E3 was it? And then he updated the site. I remember it happened a couple other times, but I can't quite recall specifics.

I'm really hoping for Zelda's moveset tonight and a double update with Sheik's profile! I really wanna see his re-design.
