Lost interest in GoT a long time ago. But as for Endgame, I'm hoping that it will be a satisfying end to, at the very least, the Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America story-arcs. Part of me would like to see RDJ cashing those checks into his 70's, but I it's better to leave on a high-note, right? If they're really going for a Captain Marvel-led MCU post-2019, I think Endgame will be a good place for me to check out, or at least stop paying as much attention to the MCU.

Have been tired of the marvel formula for a while and just watch the movies out of obligation to see it through now, with hopefully the ocasional gems inbetween. Game of Thrones quality also dropped in the last seasons, so it ending wont be a big deal as well, especially because they will make countless spin offs. Then we have the LotR amazon series, The Expanse, countless super hero movies etc.

There is enough to watch to be sad about this one 10 year marvel phase ending and GoT the tv show reaching it's end.

I dunno, I think all the hype for Endgame has been so excessive I feel worn out. After reading so many fan theories and possible spoilers, I actually feel that if the movie plays out like most people are expecting it to, with some time trave/quantum realm mumbo jumbo, mixed in with some huge battles and culminating in some big climax of beating Thanos and we just find out who died/survived...it would actually feel a bit of a let down, and would be a big wasted opportunity, IMHO.

I mean Marvel already shown they can do extravagant action. But I wish they would aim a bit higher, so that this phase of the MCU will be remembered as something more than just popcorn entertainment. What do I mean? I am actually hoping they take Endgame in a direction people haven't expected. I don't mean that the heroes should lose, but maybe they will learn that sometimes power and strength isn't enough to defeat evil. Maybe they will be betrayed by one of their own? Maybe Cap has to break his moral code and kill someone to save another? Maybe they will realize that Thanos was right? Maybe not all lives are worth saving? Who knows, but I just wish they would take things in a more "darker" direction, and explore themes they haven't before.

Thor 4 doesn’t mean it’s the current Thor though. If Thor dies he will be replaced, along with Iron Man and Captain America.
I will not accept it. You can't replace without giving them new names. Captain Marvel, Valkyrie, and Doctor Strange / Spiderman should be the replacements you mentioned.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Avengers/Super heroes are in a circle so it'll be on repeat and I expect more expanded universes going on.

Cap has killed a ton of enemies, he's shot people, thrown them off from heights they wouldn't survive, etc.

Thanos isn't right objectively because the Russo Bros. in the IW commentary confirmed what some fans guessed, that with all the Stones he could easily just create a ton of resources to sustain growing populations so everything he has done has been needlessly evil. Because he lived so long with this way of looking at the world in terms of population vs. resources, he's too one-minded in his desire to obtain all the Stones and thus oblivious to the much more reasonable solution.

This is the conclusion of a ton of characters we've been following for about 10 years, we don't need this particular film to do a complete random swerve just for the sake of doing one (I mean, like a traitor, none of these characters would do that in these circumstances for any logical reason). Maybe that means won't be the most original film in the world (I am hoping the leaked photos suggesting time travel are part of the fake scenes that the Russos shot to throw spoilers off, this doesn't need to be Days of Future Past 2) but I care much more about execution than originality.

And chances are my grandkids might be there when Miura's ghost finishes it ..... unless they get on another fucking boat in which case it's going to be up to my great grand kids to finish reading it

I didn't watch GOT, maybe I will when it's completely done, but I will say this much about the MCU: the next movies are going to be the shits, based on the Endgame outcome.

Yeah it doesn't have to be something completely out of left field but I just hope none of the lame fan theories come true. I just hope they come up with something a bit more sensical while surprising at the same time.

Marvel killed my interest when they Civil War happened. Now I just randomly hear people talking about how hot Thor is. What a weird timeline.

Truly the most legendary tail.
If it finishes in my lifetime. Then I might feel at a bit of a loss.

Marvel is not ending. They already go with past endgame with the new Spiderman.

As for GOT. I have never watched even one episode of it. I tried to play the tell tale game but gave up after 90 minutes or so.

tbh i am getting sick of poptimism on the internet. it doubly sucks because feels like everybody is this fake woke socialist who goes on and on about the certain death of capitalism one minute and then the next gushes all over this yearly shat out product. what sucks the most is the shaming, people that shame others for not being into this corporate crap.

i say there needs to be bigger push back from people that are sick of corporate media. people like to pretend there is this big awakening and we are in "late capitalism" (lol keep dreaming) but the unadulterated, ceaseless worship of RELEVANT PRODUCT is sickening tbh. capitalism isn't going anywhere so long as the "revolutionaries" are tsk-tsking people that are sick of it.
