I guess I am just used to discs rather than going digital. Downloading those updates one at a time would be annoying for me, the last few I did were quite big (Witcher 3 update was massive, or does it allow you to download more than one update at a time, but only one game at a time? That wouldn't be so bad).

There's only ever one update for a game at a time afaik. Either way it's completely invisible to you, and even if you had to download say, 7 updates, doing them simultaneously would be no faster than doing them individually, since you as an end user have no interaction with that process it's 100% irrelevant.
I just don't see the point in queuing downloads unless you have a lot of them going on at once. Is that a bad thing? Perhaps 3 - 5 downloads at once would be better with a queue system.
Your bandwidth is the limiting factor, downloading 2 things at once doesn't mean you get twice as much shit in the same time, it means you get HALF as much of two different things, get it?
