I'm sure a lot of people on this board could explain the situation a lot better than me, but an OAER is just someone who posts on another message board called Opa-Ages. It was created by a former member of GAF who got banned and got pissed so he made his own board. Now it's like a haven for people who get banned/get fed up with what goes on here, and the really hardcore people over there tend to hate those of us who post here. I know I'm missing/wrong on some details, and I know there are a lot more details to the story, but that's the basic idea behind everything.

I actually find opa-ages highly amusing. They say they hate GA calling its members GAyers etc, silly things like that. But the sad truth is opa-ages NEEDS GA without it, it would slowly decay. Hell if all the GA'ers stopped posting there it would get a lot more boring for the assholes. Which is why I find it funny that they are polling wheter to ban all the ga'ers because that would probably end up destroying oa. I mean there largest threads are about how the gaf forums went down. I don't think it helps many of the mods from ga posting there but thats only my opinion.

Their largest threads are about GA? That's odd, because if you actually knew anything you'd know that the two largest threads are about UT2K4 and Euro 2004. Not to mention the Halo 2 exclusive videos that were linked to by over 15 websitses/forums, RE4 scans, and countless other goodies that you "GAERS" go to OA for, lurk anonymously, and leech off of. Please, be quiet.

Why does it hurt GA if your favorite mods/admins post there, MrPing? MikeWorks, Bish, CK, Belfast, Evilore? Their adults, and it's a forum. Nothing more, nothing less. Lose the complex.

I said I didnt think it was a good idea they posted there as i feel it just add's to the hate. And I stand corrected, there biggest threads are not about GA but they do talk about GA a lot. I am aware it has its good parts, but i admit i rarely look at them. Can't say i've ever going to oa to get scans or anything but I'm sure a load of people have

Most of them are bitter and twisted, it's quite funny to see the sad sad depths some of them will go to :p Most of the views there are also circa 1920's.

My post has been edited, sorry for the confusion. Anyway, the truth is, you "GAERS" like to slam OA just as much OAERS slam GA. But when new scans of the hottest games are available, or nude photos of some celebrity are out, or even that porn videos(croatin pop star, anyone) spring up, you people go to OA. Do they bitch about you going there for the sole purpose of leeching? Are you even banned? No, and no.

Ohh i don't doubt that there is friction both ways, but i guess oa's lose moderation it's a bit more radical that side. I also notice a lot of mirrored posting as well. At the end of the day its a pretty silly rivalry, its only forums :p

I'm an OAer at heart, but I'm starting to like this place. I just started posting here since the new forum. Before that, I lurked a little bit here and there so I'm not familiar with everything that's going on here.

Yeah, a lot of the Opa folks act like, bitchy, bitter ex wives. They claim how much GAF sucks and how they are happy to have left, but they can't stop talking about it and can't just leave it behind. It's like GAF staff members or posters killed their internet dog or took a shit in their cereal bowl.

Pretty sad place of racist, immature and retarded people, aside from a select few.

That might give you some idea of, what has becomme to be known as, an OAER.

Yeah, OAF is one that works well for them, albeit not widespread. Mainly because I haven't been able to subject my term to the masses in a large-scale indoctrination a la FHUTA.

There are a lot of misconceptions of the other forum floating around from those that post exclusively to one. Oh well, makes the soap opera that much more entertaining. :)
