Now watch the Clone Wars show. It's now on Netflix. You enjoyed the prequels, so you'll like the show even more. The show is excellent and adds a lot more depth and character to Anakin and Obi Wan during the prequel period and has some absolutely fantastic action scenes

He certainly mentions how badly the prequels shamelessly ape the "iconic visuals" of the original trilogy, but you weren't really paying attention if you think that's Plinkett's major issue with them.

You know what's funny, i didn't hate the prequels until i joined GAF. I enjoyed them for the most part even though some parts were cringe inducing. But when i joined GAF the vitriol for the prequels was so palpable it was easier to just blend in. Not that i cared that much to begin with. And to be honest, i actually don't mind the prequels even today. It's just much easier to not be forced to defend that position on GAF.
I will say that the biggest tragedy is the fact that we only have special editions of the OT. Who cares if you think Hayden was whiny, so was Luke in the wonderful ORIGINAL Star Wars. Not a new hope just STAR WARS.

Sorry I didn't realise I watched the wrong video. I had no idea his reviews were half as long as the movies themselves. This is the one that I saw. It's 8 minutes long.

I started watching his actual reviews and most of what he says I didn't notice as I was watching. Only after he started pointing things out did I notice. But they're just movies, I don't like them any less.
I will continue to watch his reviews though.

Don't listen to this. Instead of wasting your time with the fucking reviews from people actively trying to make you dislike the movies watch "The Clone Wars" which makes episodes II and III a LOT better with added backstory and awesome characters, particularly Anakin's apprentice Ahsoka Tano.
Hell the best arcs in that series are better than most of the OT too.

I watched the prequel trilogy first and then the original trilogy. Just a few days ago I rewatched Episode 1 for the first time in forever. The two things that stood out to me the most were how little emotion the characters ever showed and how bad the aliens' racist accents were. lol
