RE0 is the only mainline game in the series I didn't play. It was initially exclusive to GC and then later bad reviews put me off this game for good. I just noticed its only $7 dolaroos on playstation store! Worth giving it a try, or not worth the time?

Its the worst of the mainline but I rate it higher than Revelations.

RE0 has its moments. But ironically, the game is best when you're without your partner. The item management is shit. Shotgun takes 2 spaces. And never dump the hookshot ever. God, how many times I needed to backtrack to get it again. Really, RE0 should be fan hacked with double item slots. But yeah, I enjoyed parts of it. Such as the train, and I thought Rebecca was okay ish.

Just met Wesker as Claire. Can't imagine how weird it would be to play this in 2001 and see this random RE1 character acting like Neo.

Also fuck the long-arm enemies. The fire arrows make short work of them at least.

I finished the game for the second time this week, on my PS Triple.
One of the best games ever made, imho.

This Chris section is such a drag. The game was so good up until now; I was even warming up to that idiot Steve. Then the game slams the brakes and oh well have to go through old levels now.

RE5 was the best thing to happen to Chris.

The twins' laugh is the most outdated thing here.

Those first person shooting segment sucks ass as well.

That final boss was a piece of shit but I beat it.

Damn this game went from like a solid 8 to a 3/10 for me. This needs a remake very badly and they seriously need to rethink how they do Chris' half. It makes me appreciate Nemesis more. That was a glorified expansion but at least it was polished and paced well.

I really wish they would do a CV remake instead of 4. It was never gonna happen because a 4 remake will sell far better. But a remake of CV is not only sorely needed, it would also introduce a ton of people to what is a very good game

Also yeah the final boss is fucking stupid. I had to try probably 20 times and when I finally beat him it was pretty much pure luck anyway
