So Marvel Cinematic Universe Villains...

Loki was god tier (haha) no doubt. Also really liked abomination and zemo. Ultron had his moments but was disappointing overall. Don't really consider the winter soldier a villain as he was being manipulated. The rest are quite forgettable imho.

Although none quite reach the heights of Loki, DCEU villains have been good besides enchantress. Zod was awesome (I WILL FIND HIM). Lex was good and I believe we will see some character development with him going forward. Doomsday ultimately did his job of killing superman, but he really should have come in later (or there should have been a MoS2 before BvS) and had a bigger role. Enchantress was lame. But I loved her character design, first transformation and when she attacked a random dude through a mirror.

There's Loki, Killgrave, and Kingpin; and then a bunch of nobodies. Ultron would have been excellent if he was in the movie for more than 7 minutes, though.

Zemo, Ultron great? Lol. They are horrible villains. Ultron wanted to built a meteor, and Zemo killed 6-7 winter soldier that could possibly threaten the avengers.

Does Zemo have the control phrases and the infrastructure & team required to keep all 5 additional winter soldiers hypnotized at all times and avoid a grisly death from one of them?

He seems to be working alone, so I'd say no.

I'd almost entirely agree with you OP except for Ultron. I really hated how he was portrayed.

Also they really screwed over Ronan as a character.

Well, thats just the problem with most comic book movie villains, they are only given enough screen time and dialogue to be a plot device threat to send the movie star heroes into action sequences.

Because you have people demanding more screen or he walks, then someone else demanding more screen time than him or he walks and someone wanting more money COMBINED with meddling from Disney demanding that Age of Ultron tie into this movie and that movie and set up some other movie.

So, after all that crap that last thing they have screen time for is the villain.

Funny how two villains from the damn CW managed to blow the fuck out of both Marvel and DC

I barely remember half of those or what their motivations were besides "I'm the bad guy". The Netflix villains are fantastic but that's it. The others are just fodder.

''Blowing the fuck out'' is a bit too much. Zoom is not that good, he's a guy with a scary voice.
Reverse Flash and his character arc is superb though.

I loved Zemo in Civil War. If he'd had a costume, combined with actually pulling off his plan and getting away, people would be hailing him as one of the great villains.

I wouldn't call Zoom great either, but he deserves a mention for
smacking Barry silly and dragging his limp body to parade around Central City.

Zemo had to be captured so that he can become the leader of the Thunderbolts in the Thunderbolts movie and in Avengers 4: Avengers vs. Thunderbolts.

Don't worry, that's all going to change with Steppenwolf.

Christ almighty, DC.

DC villains are just plain tragedy

Ok tier: General Zod (w/ his 2 whatevertheirname goons), Enchantress
bad tier: Joker, Lex Luther
shit tier: Doomsday
who cares? tier: KGBeast

Yeah, even as someone who could not possibly care less about the Superman universe watching Michael Shannon as Zod was definitely entertaining.

They all suck. Ever single one. Zemo felt like a step up, but in hindsight there was nothing memorable about him. DC has its fair share of problems, but even then, they still put as much care and attention into distinguishing their villains as they do their heroes.

Joker isn't the villain in SS, and Doomsday is not even a character, he's a weapon.

Enchantress is just...the worst

Kingpin and Kilgrave were so great because they had hours to flesh out the character instead of the 30 minutes movie villains get. Hyde was also developed well.

Ultron was completely wasted imo, especially since he's a pretty powerful character overall. Winter Soldier actually made it seem like he was a threat to the hero's every time time he engaged them.

If we being honest Kingpin is better than the Snyderverse and MCU brehvillains. Only matched by GOAT tom cavanagh, Zod and Crixus on Felicity and Friends. X-men villains are trash too, but Magneto isn't a villain IMO he's a protagonist.

DC fanboys cant laugh considering their "Savior" snyder delivered a neurotic Zuckerberg, and a fucking orc monster lol. Terrible all round.

I think what OP is pushing against is this kind of hyperbole. Everything is always either really good or abhorrent putrid filth with no room for anything in between
I just listed a group of 5. The range of awfulness to completely irrelevant which is most of them. Loki is ok, Kingpin was pretty good and Winter Soldier is a great fucking villain. I had to search Yellowjacket from this thread and Malaketh from another thread a few months ago because honestly, who gives a fuck to remember these useless villains?

None of the MCU villains were threatening to me (except Kingpin), Loki has charisma though and is enjoyable to watch.

It's a shame they brought
Fury back alive instead of letting him die. Would have made every event onto CW better.
