So Over 50% of Japanese Players Preferred English Voices in Localized Western Games

Eh, Japan is terrible with English, in Asia especially.

Your average Japanese person will know more English than your average English speaker will Japanese.

Anyway yeah, some of the Japanese dubs are just cheeks. We were crowd playing the JP release of Until Dawn and it was pretty jarring how badly out of place the JP voices and dialog seemed

Remember Me: A game by a French developer, Japanese publisher, was promoted mostly via English channels. While the English option was default, I found the French dub to be superior in every way. It felt more natural and helped a lot with immersion. Incidentally, I don't speak French.

I wanted to say thank you, I just tried switching the audio to french and it feels so much better and natural, it really did help with immersion. I don't speak french either.
