I never though i'd say this but I think i'm going to buy a Vita

GAME UK are doing a deal this week. VITA (WIFI) + Game for £150 which i think is pretty good, although i will have to buy a memory card as well

Is this a good time to buy one? They're not going to release some updated version in the future?

There's almost nothing that requires improvement on Vita - maybe HDMI for people who relly want to play 540p games on TV and LTE capable modem instead of 3G.
So if there's a new revision it's more likely to be cost reduction hardware not higher quality.

"Almost nothing?" Personally I'd like a battery life improvement and some onboard memory as well. That's 4 BIG things in total so I feel there's mandate enough to push an upgrade. If we're talking smaller things well the grip of the vita could be better and the cameras could be less terrible.

I think it's possible that they'll reveal a new vita at TGS or Gamescom, but I think they'll hold off. I don't think they are going to try and juggle getting the PS4 out and doing a vita relaunch at the same time.

Battery life is great. I can easily play for 3-4 or 6 hours even if playing psx or psp. We'll never see on board memory.

I want a TV out, I don't carry my Vita around, I only play it when I'm at home, would be nice to make use of the 55" TV.

3-4 hours is OK at best. I love my Vita, but I don't want to deny it the chance to improve.

i think i need to start a platformers thread for the upcoming generation. nothing on xbox one or ps4 at the moment though, outside of mirror's edge 2.

there's that shadow thingy for the ps4 and max and the magic marker thingy on the xbone.

both look mediocre, but they're most likely platformers!

i had some time with contrast today. looked a lot like lost in shadow. i had no idea what the hell i was doing.
